Jani snapped her fingers to change Randy into a fresh set of light pajamas.
"Thanks for that."
"The boy might have a rock for a brain, but that doesn't mean I like to see like him like this." She felt the washcloth. "I'm going to get a new one. This one belongs in Ame's house, so we should try to return it."
Jani ran out of the room.
Betty smiled at her boyfriend as she tucked him in. "Mi estupido."
Ring-ring!
Betty jumped to answer the phone. She didn't want to risk waking her boyfriend.
Vi was on the line. "I heard."
"About Randy?"
"Randel?" There was a pause before she shouted, "Did something happen to that oaf, too?"
"Yeah, he pushed himself, again."
Vi groaned. "Sounds like my mother-in-law."
Betty sighed. "Having them together was definitely a bad idea."
"Was he in Nachima with Ame? Why? Ed told me that Star went missing."
