Del drew his card and smiled. It was the kitty card he got earlier, a spell card.
"I play Thieving Cat, allowing me to steal either a monster or a life stone! I take your life stone!"
Maggie gasped. "Wait, that's the card I planned to give Collin..."
"Oh?" Cy asked.
Maggie grumbled. "It was supposed to be his birthday gift, but I forgot about it."
Ray sighed as he went down to five stones.
Del smiled but it was short-lived as he stared at his cards.
Hopefully, this strategy paid off.
"I surrender one of my life stones to evolve Leonard- the Lion Knight!"
His monster went from a measly two-thousand to three-thousand attack.
"I then activate its evolution effect, allowing me to draw three cards!"
Del drew three cards. One of them was the bear card. He snickered. Seemed the triplets were helping him.
