"I'm off to play!" Ray said as he finished his cookies. He eyed Maggie. "Ready?"
She put down her glass and smirked.
Del tilted his head. "What do you play?"
He took out several cards.
"Valiant Overdress," Ray announced, fanning out the cards in his hand.
Maggie nodded in agreement. "Prepare yourself, Del. It's a fast-paced game."
Del raised an eyebrow. "I've never heard of it. How do you play?"
Ray leaned forward, explaining the rules as he set up the playing field. "It's all about strategic moves and anticipating your opponent's next move. You'll catch on quickly."
As they started the game, the room filled with the sound of cards being played and the occasional triumphant or frustrated sigh. The battle in Valiant Overdress had begun.
