Days had passed since Berry's surgery. It was now Monarchy Day, which excited Alastair last night. It made Cyan smile to see him so excited. Although, it might've been because it was his birthday.
Since returning, he had been taking it easy. Spending his waking hours cuddling with Honey, watching VRTV, doing one of his puzzles, or watching a lava lamp Cole brought for him one day. Cyan wasn't sure if it was his way of saying sorry or not. Sadly, Maggie hadn't completely moved on as she didn't return to living with them. But maybe it was for the best. Distance did make the heart grow fonder people said.
Although, during dinner, he would ask stuff about the government. Why the sudden interest, Cy had no clue.
This morning, he had slept in and did one of his easier puzzles after he had awakened.
Soon after he finished, Alastair came into the kitchen.
