After the kennel was built, Justin quickly went to the west courtyard and brought the dog back.
Perhaps the dog knew who its real master was, its eyes were bright when it was brought back. It looked energetic and very exciting.
Justin tied the leash to a small tree near the kennel. The leash was long enough for the dog to shrink its entire body into the kennel, so there was no need to worry about getting wet when it rained.
Aria looked at the energetic dog and finally heaved a sigh of relief.
That was great.
"Don't get too close to it, or it might bite you." Justin patted his daughter's head and spoke.
Although Justin felt that Handsome was very smart and docile, it was better to be careful. If his daughter was bitten by the dog, that would be bad.
Aria nodded at her father.
She wasn't someone who would go and play with a dog for no reason. Moreover, this dog was still young. Although it would grow up to be very impressive in the future, it had never bitten anyone for so many years. It was also because of this that she was at ease to let the dog come back.
"Alright, it's fine if the dog is back. Hurry up and come over for dinner." Wendy said as she walked out of the house. She was holding a small yellow porcelain bowl with a broken edge in her hand. There was tomato soup in it, some vegetables, and a sandwich that had been broken into small pieces. It had also been softened by the tomato soup.
Wendy placed the porcelain bowl next to the kennel. Handsome saw it, it immediately went over and started eating.
Aria could not help but smile.
Although her mother said that she didn't like dogs, she treated them very well.
"Hurry up and wash your hands!" Wendy patted her daughter when she saw her smiling face.
Aria couldn't help but stick out her tongue and then happily went to the well.
After that, Justin and Aria washed their hands together before entering the house to eat.
After the meal, Aria didn't want to go out and run around. Although she had heard that she loved to run around and play when she was young, she wasn't like that anymore when she grew up. So, she asked her father to pull out the sofa bed for her, lay on it, and covered herself with a blanket.
She subconsciously counted the folds on the curtain that had been pulled open to cover the space inside.
What a boring life...
If she was a normal child, she would not feel bored. However, she was now a person who had enjoyed all kinds of future technology in her thirties. She felt that she was not used to the retro life.
Especially... She had no phone, no computer, and no internet, so she couldn't browse YouTube. It was really depressing... Alas...
On the one end, Aria was upset. On the other end, Wendy and Justin were discussing something important.
"It's almost our son's one-month-old birthday. You have to hurry up and book a table." Wendy gently patted her son's swaddling clothes and said," Don't delay it."
In the Lewis village, it was very important for a child to celebrate their ninth-day birthday and their first month birthday. However, Justin wasn't around when the child was born, so Wendy couldn't celebrate his ninth-day birthday alone. Hence, she missed it. She couldn't miss the first month's birthday this time.
"I know. Don't worry, I'll do it when I come back from the Flores Village tomorrow." Justin quickly said.
However, Wendy frowned when she heard her husband's words. "You're going to the Flores Village?"
Justin smiled stiffly.
Wendy's expression was not good. Her son's one-month-old birthday was the most important thing, yet he still had to go to the Flores Village at this time. How could she be happy?
"Did your dad ask you to go?" Wendy said.
"There was nothing we could do about it. Jeffrey was not young anymore. If he did not get married, he would be laughed at." Justin said. Although his son's one-month birthday was very important, his brother's marriage was not a small matter, so Justin had no choice. "But don't worry, I won't delay our son's one-month birthday!"
Wendy glanced at him. The unhappiness in her eyes was obvious.
Justin could only smile bitterly at his wife.
"Your father never came to see me once after I gave birth. He doesn't take this grandson to heart at all. And he doesn't have any affection for Aria at all. These two children seem to have nothing to do with him!" Wendy said to her husband. The more she spoke, the angrier she became.
Justin's mother passed away not long after Wendy and he were engaged. If it were someone else, it would be troublesome without the help of a mother-in-law. They might have to cancel the engagement. However, Wendy felt that Justin had just lost his mother. She couldn't do that, so she didn't cancel the engagement.
However, she didn't expect her father-in-law to be such a person after marriage. Other than being lazy and spending money, he didn't do anything good to her other than finding fault with her.
Wendy didn't mind at that time, but she couldn't stand that he was not close to her daughter.
Of course, maybe it was because Aria was not a boy. However, she had given birth to a son, and her father-in-law only saw the child a few days after he was born as if nothing had happened.
Wendy understood now that Otto only cares about his youngest son Jeffrey. The others were nothing in his eyes.
Justin was frustrated when he heard Wendy's words, but he couldn't say anything to refute her.
Because that was the truth.
Justin couldn't help but want to take out a cigarette to smoke, but he stopped when he thought of his son who was lying there.
"After all, he's my father... I have no choice..." Justin said helplessly.
Wendy shook her head as she looked at her husband.
Although many things made her feel bad, she could only complain to Justin. Other than that, what else could she do? Her husband couldn't cut ties with her biological father because of this reason, right?
Although it was not a big deal whether they tied or not...
"Alright, if you want to go tomorrow, then go early and come back early. If you delay our son's one-month-old birthday, I'll be angry." Wendy's expression was stern.
"Don't worry." Justin quickly replied. "I won't delay it!"
Justin hurriedly coaxed his wife.
Wendy felt even more helpless when she heard Justin's soft words. She felt that after she married him, she had learned how to endure.
