Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 The Childhood_1

After dinner, Aria had nothing to do. Not to mention that they didn't have a TV at home, even electricity wasn't available in every home at this time. Moreover, many people couldn't afford the high electricity bill.

Therefore, most of the time, they could only light candles after dark. She remembered that it was only when she was seven or eight years old that the entire village could have electricity.

Fortunately, she was reborn in April. Otherwise, summer would be the worst.

Even so, Aria still didn't know how to spend the summer after her rebirth.

But forget it. It was too early to think about this. She would think about it when the summer came.

Aria took out a small candle from the box in the cabinet and lit it up. Then, she walked out of the room.

"Aria, where are you going?" Wendy was feeding her son when she saw her daughter.

"Mom, I'm going to the toilet." Aria turned to look at Wendy.

The toilet in their house was built in the corner of the courtyard, so she had to go outside if she wanted to go to the toilet.

"Don't go. It's dark outside." Wendy said and got off the bed." I'll bring you the urinal. Wait a minute."

Aria was stunned when she heard Wendy's words. Then, she remembered that she used a urinal at night when she was young. That way, she didn't have to leave the house to go to the toilet.

But she was already an adult close to thirty years old. It's embarrassing for her to use the urinal...

"Mom, no need. I want to go to the toilet!" Aria quickly said.

"Be good. Outside is very dark and you would fall, just wait obediently." As Wendy spoke, she took the candle in Aria's hand and walked out.

Aria wanted to follow her, but Wendy frowned and looked at her. "Aria, be obedient!" Aria had no choice but to watch her mother go to the toilet to get a urinal.

Alas, this is really depressing.

After that, Wendy brought the urinal into the house, closed the door of the central room, and bolted it. Then, she went to the kitchen to scoop some water and poured it into the urinal, indicating to her daughter the urinal was ready.

Aria looked at the urinal and hesitated for a long time. Although she wanted to take the urinal to her small house, that small house was half the kitchen. She couldn't go there, right?

Finally, she mentally prepared herself and hinted that she was only five years old. Then, she solved her biological problems in a corner.

"Mom, I'm going to sleep," Aria said.

However, Wendy stopped her and asked in confusion, "Don't you want to sleep with Mommy today?"

Aria was stunned for a moment. She remembered that although she had a bed in a small room when she was young, she had not slept there most of the time because she was afraid of being alone. Therefore, if her father was at home, she would sleep on the folding sofa in the central room. When her father was not at home, she usually slept with her mother.

But now, she felt that it was better to sleep alone.

"It's okay, Mom. I'll sleep alone." Aria said, "I'm afraid that my sleeping position won't be good, and I'll squeeze my younger brother."

She didn't dare to sleep on the same bed with a baby now. Otherwise, it would be terrible if she accidentally pressed on him.

But Wendy felt that the small house was rather gloomy and damp. It was better in the summer. It was not so good during other times.

"I'll lay out the sofa for you. You can sleep on the sofa." Wendy said, "In this way, I can see you, and you can see me. You don't have to be afraid!"

Aria thought about it and agreed. Although she was an adult, she was still afraid of living alone sometimes.

Therefore, it was better to share a room with her mother.

Although it was called a sofa, it was actually a folding bed. After the sofa was completely pulled open, it was a big bed that was 5 feet wide and nearly 6.6 feet long. It was even better than the iron bed in the house. It was completely fine to lay a blanket as a mattress.

However, there was one more thing before she went to sleep.

"Mom, can I wash my face?" Aria asked. She was used to washing her face at night. It felt strange not to wash it now.

Wendy did not expect her daughter to make such a request.

"Of course, it's a good thing that Aria likes to be clean. I will pour some hot water for you." Wendy said with a smile.

Aria nodded. Actually, she wanted to do it herself, but a five-year-old child couldn't lift a thermos, so she couldn't force herself.

The khaki basin had a tacky goldfish pattern, but it was the most popular at that time. It was said that the basin was the dowry of her mother.

Wendy poured some hot water into the basin and scooped some cold water.

She wanted to help her daughter wash her face, but she saw that her daughter had already rolled up her sleeves. Then, Aria put her hand into the water and began to wash her face seriously.

There was no facial wash or even soap. Aria could only wash her face with pure water and then dry it with a towel.

After washing her face, she took off her coat and trousers and put them aside. She was wearing a yellow nightgown that had faded a little. Then, Aria crawled under the blanket.

"Are you cold?" Wendy looked at her daughter and asked.

Aria shook her head.

Wendy looked at her daughter and smiled. "Okay, go to bed early."

Aria nodded, "Good night, Mom."

"Good night."

Wendy returned to the big bed. There was only one candle burning on the table beside the bed.

The candle emitted a dim yellow light, and there was a large circle of shadows in the room.

Such a memory had not appeared for a long time.

Aria closed her eyes and opened them again. She saw the same scene.

She didn't want to sleep. She was afraid that this was just a dream.

Rebirth.

This was something that many people had fantasized about, and she was just one of them.

But why? She didn't understand why she was reborn.

Could it be because she died in a car accident?

Wait! Aria suddenly opened her eyes.

She was wondering why she didn't remember one thing. When she died, she wasn't alone. There was someone else.

Steven Lewis.

Was Steven dead too? She seemed to remember that she was carried into someone's arms at that time. It should be Steven. If that was the case, Steven would definitely be more affected than her. Then Steven should be dead too...

If she could be reborn, would Steven also...

Aria could not help but feel excited.

Although she and Steven weren't close, the only relationship they had was that they had a car accident on the same day. If both of them were reborn, she can talk her thoughts to Steven.

She remembered that Steven and his family should still live in the village when she was five years old. It was the two-story building behind her house.

Tomorrow, she had to take a look and see if Steven had also been reborn.

She hoped that Steven had been reborn as well. Otherwise, she would feel a little guilty if she was the only one reborn after the two of them died...

Thinking of this, Aria, who was still a five-year-old child, fell asleep in a daze.
