Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: The Powerful Aura of Wen Suihan

Jiang Yi had signed the contract and paid the money, and when she returned to the showroom, Wen Suihan had already disappeared.

She looked at the car keys in her hand, with a still dazed expression on her face.

He Gu, who had been beside her, couldn't restrain his curiosity any longer and asked, "What's the situation here? Who is this guy? He comes in here throwing around his weight, claiming to be a 'Gold Diamond VIP.' What am I missing? I'm a 'Silver Diamond' myself."

Jiang Yi gave He Gu a blank look, feeling the pain of the spent money only now; she tossed the car keys into He Gu's arms, "Happy now? You provoked me like this, and I haven't even decided if I'm going to stay in the country, but I went ahead and bought a car worth more than 2 million. I don't even drive it; am I supposed to use it to sprout beans?"

Contrarily, He Gu disagreed, asserting, "You can't say that. We have to keep up appearances even if we're not steaming buns, right? Could you really just watch that 'Wild Pheasant' dance on your head? If it were me, I couldn't stand it."

Jiang Yi exhaled a sigh, "Forget it, what's done is done; what can I do about it now, let's go."

"Hey? Jiang Yi, you still haven't told me who that guy was."

"He's the grandson of my grandfather's comrade-in-arms, his surname is Han."

"Are you close to him?"

"Not really."

"..."

The two of them walked out the door, bantering back and forth, with He Gu occasionally looking back at where Wen Suihan had stood.

He Gu mused, "I feel like I've seen this person somewhere before."

In celebration of Jiang Yi getting a new car, He Gu specially organized a gathering.

He called out all the friends from their childhood that they used to hang out with and booked a private room at a clubhouse to welcome Jiang Yi.

Fine liquor and beer were served in abundance, but He Gu got too drunk to pay attention to anyone else.

He lay on the toilet in the washroom, unable to stop vomiting and unable to get up, while Jiang Yi was still relatively sober.

Fortunately, the clubhouse was owned by He Gu's father, so after a word with the floor manager, four male attendants carried the passed-out He Gu off to rest.

Exiting the private clubhouse, it was already the middle of the night.

Jiang Yi refused her friends' offers to take her home.

She stood at the entrance of the clubhouse, watching as her friends left staggeringly one by one, then headed towards her newly purchased sports car.

She stopped in front of her new love, a shimmering silver convertible that dazzled and made her feel dizzy.

In the end, she couldn't hold it in—she vomited inside her brand-new car.

Jiang Yi stepped out of the car, looking disgustedly at the mess on the seat, closed the door, and walked aimlessly down the long street alone.

She had no intention of going home because, ever since she was young, her grandfather had strictly forbidden her from drinking. If she went home drunk like this, she'd inevitably be in for a scolding.

Across the street, a pastry shop was still open, and Jiang Yi's stomach began to forcefully rebel against her.

Just as Jiang Yi pushed the glass door open and entered, she heard a soft, familiar voice inside saying, "Zimu, I want one more slice of tiramisu."

"Sure, babe."

With that, Zhou Zimu, in front of the employee, lightly kissed Wen Qianqian on her forehead, causing her to blush and lower her head in shyness.

Seeing this scene, Jiang Yi felt the foreign liquor in her stomach surging up again.

She intended to turn around and leave, but a waiter's enthusiastic "Welcome!" trapped her in indecision.

The waiter called out warmly, "Hello, what would you like to order?"

It being so late, there weren't many desserts left in the store's glass display: a mango pie, a slice of Black Forest cake, a piece of tiramisu, and a few scattered, slightly crumbled Crab Yellow Pastries.

Jiang Yi stared blankly at the couple close together and said to herself, "I'm full, and also a bit queasy."
