There was a man who'd somehow descended into his novel. After parting with his brother, he lived.
Though a bad person, George Radcliffe had changed in his journey to save the world.
He had grown from a man who'd do anything for materialistic values… to a man who knew virtue.
Who would charge into the fray for 'them'.
Those fictional character he made as a writer.
In a devastated battlefield, the 'Dragon of the End' had taken humanoid form to fight the heroes.
He was stronger than in the 'Original Story'.
That's why no matter how strong the Hero Party was, they had been knocked out of the fight.
Around George were his tired and bloodied comrades. Those he followed to this final battle.
He loaded his gun and looked at the floating evil.
The wicked dragon silently looked at him without saying a word. Lifting his hand to the dark sky.
Flames converged into a cruel miniature sun.
The heat so strong that George felt his skin burning from where he stood, and stood his ground he did.
To protect those he now cared for, he had to do it.
He pointed his gun at the supreme being of night.
Knowing that he alone was no match for the dragon that had been prophesied to end reality.
But who said his battle would be alone?
A rumbling sound was heard, and George noticed that a familiar demonic creature had followed him.
In this final battle that would decide the fate of the world, a giant creature from Hell stood beside him.
Wasn't this the 'Demon King' that arose earlier?
He'd heard rumours of a gate to Hell opening and that Demons of that realm helped humans survive.
An unexpected reinforcement from nowhere…
"You're helping me here too?" In this battle that would decide fate, George had spoken out first.
Like the ender dragon, he expected no answer from the eldritch abomination standing behind him.
After all, the Demon King looked more like an evil creature than the Dragon of the End ever did.
There was no majestic grace in that fleshy form.
The eyeless creature several times his size gazed down. It moved its mouth to say one word.
"Bro… ther…" The creature's voice caused George's heart to thump violently in response to that.
Waves of memories assaulted him.
There was only one person who would call him brother… but there was no way. Why? How?
No, this wasn't the time to ask that.
He had no idea what path his brother had taken to become that creature, but he would fix this.
After saving the world, he would help his 'brother'.
The Demon King took a glance at George before looking at the ender dragon. The shadow of death.
Knowing what they needed to do now.
'It has been too long…' The horrific Demon King of the Hell Realm inwardly felt nostalgic over this.
He could finally stand side-by-side with him.
After losing his name, face, hairdo, and everything that he'd once took for granted, the former human and current Demon King stretched his muscles. A big shockwave was created from the sheer force.
Behind him, his own comrades he'd made in the Hell Realm helped protect George's teammates.
He had no reason to save this realm. After all, he'd abandoned it long ago and escaped to Hell.
However, he'd realised the worth of the things he'd discarded in order to get to the point he did now.
No one knew if he'd be rejected and chased away after this battle, but he decided to still step up.
Because some heroes were villains.
