Having watched Superman stories in his past life, Ivan harbored a peculiar concern – Superman's relationship with Lois Lane. Superman's immense strength dwarfed Lois's ordinary human physique. Ivan worried that in their intimacy, Superman's strength could inadvertently harm Lois. He envisioned a scenario where Superman, carried away by passion, might accidentally break Lois's arm or worse. Fearing such an outcome, Ivan concluded that Clark needed a girlfriend with comparable physical strength, someone who could handle his power.
Skull Island housed several dozen mutants with enhanced strength, but few were beautiful women. As a result, Clark, at the age of twenty-five, remained single.
An option Ivan considered was Supergirl, Kara, Clark's Kryptonian cousin. Being Kryptonians, they'd share a common language and background. However, Kara, though chronologically older than Clark, had spent over a decade in suspended animation, keeping her physically younger. Ivan planned to wait until Kara reached adulthood before attempting to set them up.
However, Wonder Woman's arrival presented a seemingly ideal candidate.
With a hidden agenda, Ivan bypassed Clark's room and placed the unconscious Wonder Woman on his bed. The farm, once bustling with Ivan's children, had become quiet. Chris, Ivan's eldest, had inherited the Devil's Hut business, a lucrative venture that granted wishes for a price. He had moved to a big city near his unsuspecting mother, Moira.
Kyle, the second child, had used his inherited brilliance to establish a successful tech company. He'd also discreetly entered the upper class by acquiring shares in Stark Industries, a move facilitated by Ivan's prior dealings with Howard Stark. Kyle held more shares than Tony Stark, though this fact remained a secret.
Kyle thrived at Stark Industries, and his genius perfectly matched Tony Stark's. They quickly became good friends.
As Ivan's youngest and most favored child, Elizabeth possessed the powers of Gaia and Alaya. Remarkably lucky, she could find valuable treasures on her adventures. Unconcerned with finances or safety, she pursued a life of adventure.
Clark, on the other hand, inherited the farm and became the new owner. He spent most of his time honing his powers, even flying to the sun to strengthen himself. He could now withstand the sun's surface temperature. In a few years, he might even be able to fly directly into it.
The farm, managed by housekeeper Henry Morgan, was surprisingly profitable. The unique grapes grown there produced a life-extending wine highly sought after by the wealthy. Each bottle sold for millions; even with limited production, the farm generated hundreds of millions annually.
While basking in the sun, Clark received news of Ivan's return and hurried back. Entering his room, he found Wonder Woman unconscious on his bed. "Dad, isn't this Wonder Woman? Why is she injured and in my bed?"
Ivan coughed awkwardly. "Son, you're lonely, so I found you a girlfriend. Beautiful, isn't she? Go get to know her!"
Clark was dumbfounded. His unreliable father had found him a girlfriend he'd never even met. "Dad, this isn't right! Relationships are about mutual feelings. How can you force this? I don't even know Wonder Woman!"
Ivan bristled. "Nonsense! She's Wonder Woman! Strong, beautiful, and fit! What more could you want? An ordinary woman? This is a perfect match! Please don't disappoint me. Conquer her! Besides, I need to study her weapons and armor. Take them off and send them to the lab."
With that, Ivan left for Skull Island, leaving a bewildered Clark staring at Wonder Woman. What had he done to deserve such a father?
Unfazed by Clark's predicament, Ivan returned to his lab on Skull Island. He began his research with Hulk's blood, believing it held the key to unlocking genetic mutation. He soon cracked the code by comparing it to Abomination's blood and created a Hulk-like super soldier serum.
Ivan's newly created serum allows mass production of super soldiers but with drawbacks. Similar to the Hulk's transformation, it causes immense pain. Individuals with weak wills might even die from genetic breakdown. Additionally, these warriors are significantly weaker than Abomination.
This isn't a complete failure for Ivan. Before his transformation, Abomination was a formidable mercenary, possessing exceptional combat skills and unwavering willpower. Replicating such a baseline takes time and effort. Therefore, Ivan considers this serum a flawed backup plan. In a doomsday scenario, like a zombie apocalypse, where humanity faces extinction, these warriors could be a last resort. In such a desperate situation, aesthetics become irrelevant.
Next, Ivan and the Leader analyzed Wonder Woman's blood. Surprisingly, her cells resembled average humans, except for a mysterious energy strand. This energy fuels Wonder Woman's continuous physical enhancement, granting her superhuman strength.
Ivan believes this power is divinity, a gift from Zeus. The Leader, however, rejects such notions, viewing gods as merely advanced lifeforms. He's driven to uncover the secrets behind this "divine power."
The Leader's viewpoint isn't entirely inaccurate. While he might not possess all the details about divine power that Ivan does, he chooses to remain silent and let the Leader conduct his research. This approach might yield unexpected discoveries.
