"Why are you here? This matter has nothing to do with you. Leave!"
Magneto expressed surprise at the sudden appearance of the three individuals who came to his aid. However, his expression changed after a moment of thought, and he reprimanded them.
"You are our leader. How could we not come if you are in trouble? Don't shoulder all the responsibility alone. Though we may not be as strong as you, we can always offer some help," the telekinetic mutant said, gently placing his two companions on the ground.
Chris's expression soured. He had just perceived the formidable defensive power of the diamond-shaped energy shield. Even Chris found it challenging to break through.
"Do you know what Magneto is doing? He is destroying the world, and his actions will lead all mutants into the abyss. Do you understand the consequences of his actions and still stand by his side?"
In response to Chris's question, the mutant with the diamond shield replied firmly, "If this is Eric's decision, then I say yes, regardless of what he decides. We stand by him. Since we recognize him as the leader, we are prepared to bear all consequences voluntarily."
At this moment, a plane landed, and as the warehouse door opened, twenty or thirty mutants emerged one after another, aligning themselves with Magneto without hesitation, expressing their allegiance.
Magneto's eyes were slightly moist at this moment. Despite the loss of his daughter and wife, a sense of warmth replaced the coldness within him. Regardless of how many people despised his actions or whether he was right or wrong, he had a group of loyal subordinates, brothers, and friends who followed him, sharing his convictions without regrets.
Chris hadn't anticipated the situation escalating to this point. Magneto's influence among these mutants was substantial, indicating that Magneto had succeeded.
"Magneto, you have a group of loyal comrades, but I hope you consider their well-being more. Understand what you are doing, and don't let them down."
Magneto, a formidable mutant, now commanded a powerful force with his subordinates. A confrontation would not be an ideal solution.
"Eric, don't mind what others say. Follow your heart. Regardless of your decision, we will support you," the mutant with telekinetic abilities reassured Magneto.
They recognized that the balance of power was now almost equal. Magneto's stance was critical. Whichever side he chose would tip the scales in their favor, leaving the decision to Magneto.
Apocalypse, unexpectedly facing reinforcements, felt a moment of joy. Previously, he had been indifferent to the number of enemies. In Apocalypse's eyes, everyone except himself was an ant—perhaps stronger but still an ant. In a problematic situation, receiving assistance felt like a helping hand in the snow.
Through space teleportation, Apocalypse arrived near Magneto and declared, "I didn't expect you to have so many loyal subordinates. Very well, immediately commence the elimination of all enemies."
Despite Apocalypse's enthusiastic order, an awkward situation unfolded. All mutants did not heed Apocalypse's command as if they hadn't heard his words. Instead, they stared at Magneto, awaiting his directive.
This made Apocalypse extremely angry. Once the absolute ruler who governed all of Egypt, his words were akin to imperial decrees, with no one daring to challenge him. However, now, some individuals dared to defy him—an intolerable reality for him.
"Do you wish to die? How dare you disobey my orders!" Apocalypse's voice carried a dark tone.
The psychic mutant angrily glanced at Apocalypse and retorted, "Shut up. You are who you are. Magneto is our leader, and only he can give us orders. As for you, stay in your place."
A surge of anger enveloped Apocalypse, and teleportation and detonation clouded his reason. This was the first time someone had spoken to him in such a manner. Eyes filled with murderous intent, he raised his palm, and a stream of yellow sand shot toward the telekinetic mutant.
"Be careful!" Magneto shouted, witnessing the scene as he tried to control metal to block the attack.
Unfortunately, Magneto was a step too late. The yellow sand struck the back of the psychic mutant. Though blocked by the psychic's defenses, it disintegrated everything from the chest down.
All mutants were stunned by this abrupt turn of events. While they might have assumed that Apocalypse, no matter how displeased, wouldn't completely break ties in this situation, they had underestimated Apocalypse's sense of pride. Under these circumstances, he made a drastic move.
The telekinetic mutant took his last breath, looked at Magneto, and attempted to raise his hand as if wanting to convey something. Unfortunately, he couldn't articulate it, and his hand fell midway before slowly closing his eyes.
"Go to hell!" A massive metal pillar, under Magneto's control, hurtled towards Apocalypse. Instinctively, Apocalypse raised his hand to resist, quickly disassembling the metal pillar. Yet, it also sent him back dozens of meters.
"Do you understand what you're doing?" Apocalypse glared at Magneto through gritted teeth.
"I understand perfectly well what I'm doing. If you harm my subordinates, you will pay the price," declared Magneto, meeting Apocalypse's gaze without a hint of weakness.
"You will pay for your betrayal."
"No! I had betrayed them!" Magneto's rage soared, staring at Apocalypse. His most loyal subordinate had been killed in this manner. If he didn't seek revenge, what claim did he have as a mutant? How could the leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants be worthy of the trust of those who had wholeheartedly followed him?
Countless metal objects floated around, flying wildly and shooting at Apocalypse under Magneto's control. Simultaneously, the mutants surrounding Magneto responded with roars of "revenge," "kill," and "take him down." Following Magneto's lead, each showcased their supernatural powers to attack and confront Apocalypse.
"Everyone, attack together!" Upon witnessing his retaliation, Professor X immediately ordered Magneto to join forces with his old friend to combat the enemy again. Professor X felt an indescribable joy in his heart.
Hearing Professor X's order, everyone sprang into action. Cyclops removed his glasses, and two laser beams shot out. Chris and Kyle employed the Avada Kedavra, while others utilized simple yet powerful magical attacks. Clark's eyes emitted scorching rays, the phoenix in the sky unleashed a pillar of fire, and even the Red Devil, Qin, and Storm, one of Apocalypse's four knights, switched sides, leading the thunder in the sky to strike Apocalypse alongside the others.
The battlefield now featured a diverse array of attack methods. Magneto's subordinates displayed a variety of tactics—some continuously fired shockwaves, others used yellow sand to form spears and projected them, and those with enhanced strength directly grabbed pyramid fragments from the ground, smashing them. Mutants without direct attack abilities assisted by picking up large rocks and passing them to mutants with enhanced strength. Some mutants with healing abilities helped others recover their physical strength, creating a synergistic and powerful force.
Apocalypse found himself cornered by a rat crossing the street. Under the collective assault, he could barely defend himself, lacking the strength to fight back. Although he used his full power to counter the attacks, some omissions were inevitable. He sustained wounds that, while healing quickly, still drained Apocalypse's energy.
Apocalypse grew increasingly furious. Since his awakening, everything had gone awry. Now, numerous traitors dared to challenge him. He longed for the time when he ruled the world, revered as a god. However, everything had changed. There was no longer awe or obedience; everyone betrayed him. Worse yet, these betrayers possessed unimaginable power, capable of inflicting harm upon him.
Realizing the gravity of the situation, Apocalypse understood that it was time to exert himself. Although his final move would cause extensive damage to his body and rapidly deplete his life force, necessitating a swift replacement of his body, defeating and capturing these individuals and securing Charles's body made it all worthwhile.
"Ah!" Apocalypse roared suddenly, his body swelling rapidly as a violent force spread. Those attacking him felt a tightness in their chests, involuntarily flying out and landing in the sand.
When Apocalypse reappeared before everyone, he stood as a giant over thirty meters tall, resembling a hill. His foot measured four or five meters, exerting a powerful momentum nearly suffocating everyone.
The 30-meter giant Apocalypse took a dozen strides, focusing on Magneto and his subordinates. Raising his massive foot, he aimed to stomp on them.
Still lying in the sand, Magneto, unable to rise, endured the pain and joined his hands together. The metal scattered around instantly condensed, forming a colossal lid that covered everyone inside. Magneto also carefully tightened spikes on the outer surface of the lid.
As Apocalypse stepped on the lid, he felt pain, as if stepping on a nail. Quickly retracting his foot, he observed the spikes on the lid, his face darkening. Waving his hand, a cloud of yellow sand enveloped the lid, rapidly decomposing it.
Within seconds, only a thin layer of the large iron cover, tens of centimeters thick, remained on the verge of being penetrated. In a desperate moment, a small figure flew in from a distance, slammed into the giant Apocalypse, and was pushed back several steps by the enormous body.
Without a doubt, only someone with such immense strength and an invulnerable body could be Clark. Seeing Magneto and the others in crisis, he collided directly with Apocalypse. Fortunately, the timing was right, and the strength was great enough to defeat Apocalypse.
