Red Devil explained, "I know your doubts, but I have no ill will towards you."

In truth, if Red Devil had a choice, he would prefer not to associate with individuals like Magneto. He understood that Magneto's current behavior was immature, and the foundation was weak, foretelling potential disasters in the future. However, this was an order from Ivan, and he had no choice but to comply.

As per Ivan's instructions, in addition to protecting mutants as much as possible, Red Devil had another task—to protect Mystique, the key to the Sentinel robots. Even though Ivan had created a mutant suit, rendering him invulnerable to the Sentinel robots, he still aimed to prevent their existence from mutants.

"Since you claim you have no malicious intentions, then release your mind and let me check your thoughts. If I am convinced that you are innocent, I can offer an apology; otherwise, I cannot trust you." White Queen took a step back, her fear of Ivan influencing Red Devil, making her highly vigilant.

This condition set by the White Queen was a bit awkward and coercive, and Red Devil naturally wouldn't agree. Moreover, he harbored many secrets in his mind that couldn't be revealed. Additionally, Ivan had placed a ban in his mind. If the White Queen were to read his mind, it would lead to dire consequences.

"It's impossible. Everyone has secrets they don't want others to know, and I'm no exception. However, I can prove my innocence in other ways."

"What way?" Magneto inquired.

"I can take you to a place where Shaw left things behind—precisely, the legacy he left for the next generation of mutant leaders. Now that you are entitled to these, it's justifiable for me to give them to you."

"The legacy left by Shaw? Why don't I know about it? Are you lying to us, attempting to lead us into a trap? You must understand that, before you, I was with Shaw, and you spent most of your time with Ivan. What makes him trust you so much to tell you about the inheritance and not tell me?" White Queen was unsure if the inheritance was real. If it was fake, it would undoubtedly be a plot by Red Devil. However, if it was genuine, it indicated that her position in Shaw's heart wasn't as favored as Red Devil's, leaving her feeling a bit unbalanced.

"He didn't tell you to keep it as secret as possible. He chose me because I'm the best at escaping. My spatial ability is second to none. If I truly encounter danger, I have the greatest hope of surviving. The inheritance can be handed over smoothly."

Everyone present harbored skepticism about the authenticity of the inheritance, uncertain whether to trust Red Devil's words. The decision-making process proved challenging.

After thoughtful consideration, Red Devil spoke "Well, I can allow you to impose a ban on me. Then, I'll take you to the location of the inheritance. If anything changes, you have the authority to end my life."

Magneto pondered for a moment, nodded, and proceeded to manipulate a metal ring around Red Devil's neck. The ring contracted and deformed as Magneto explained, "Although I wish to trust you, for the safety of everyone, preparations must be made in case of any contingencies. I've incorporated a special mechanism into this metal circle. You can't stray too far from me, or twenty iron thorns will emerge and pierce your neck."

Red Devil displayed indifference toward the metal ring around his neck. His spatial abilities had reached a level of subtle manipulation, enabling him to blur his form and remove the collar effortlessly.

Having made concessions, the Red Devil demonstrated benevolence. Other members hesitated no longer, forming a circle while holding hands. Red Devil exerted his abilities, causing the surroundings to blink and change.

Now, Magneto and the others found themselves on a mountainside. Sparse weeds dotted the area, creating a somewhat desolate scene. The distant sound of waves and the faint smell of seawater confirmed their location as an island.

 "Follow me"

Red Devil confirmed the direction and proceeded forward. Only then did the group notice a cave nearby, with Red Devil already at the entrance.

Magneto and the others followed swiftly. The cave proved shallow, taking only a few minutes to traverse. Red Devil, under everyone's skeptical gaze, reached a corner and began shifting a pile of gravel with his hand.

"Wait! We'll handle this."

White Queen hurriedly intervened, her doubt lingering. Red Devil shrugged, stepping aside. Since someone took the initiative, he had no objections, taking a momentary break.

As the leader, Magneto kept a watchful eye on Red Devil. Riptide, being the only man among them, demonstrated his masculinity by taking charge of the task. He swiftly removed the gravel, revealing a slate. He carefully pushed the slate, unveiling an iron ring.

Red Devil explained, "Pull the iron ring. It's the mechanism to open the passage, allowing us to open the stone gate and access the inheritance."

White Queen, carrying a subtle air of skepticism, remarked, "It seems too simple. Isn't Shaw afraid of someone discovering these items here?"

"Don't worry. As you may have noticed, this is an island surrounded by countless reefs, isolated and desolate. Besides my spatial ability, reaching here is only possible by plane. The magnetic field in this sea area is unique, blocking any signals. Your concerns are unnecessary. Let's not waste time and act swiftly."

With a strong pull, Riptide lifted the iron ring, revealing a hidden trapdoor beneath it. Magneto, White Queen, and the others gathered around as Riptide opened the trapdoor. Red Devil observed their reactions but remained composed.

As the trapdoor creaked open, a staircase leading downward was revealed. It seemed to be an underground chamber, and the air smelled damp, indicating a long period of isolation.

"Shall we go in?" Magneto asked, his magnetic abilities ready for any unexpected situations.

Red Devil nodded, "This is the place where Shaw left something for the future leaders of mutants. However, it's not just about the inheritance; there might be information and guidance for the future of mutants."

Magneto took the lead, descending the staircase, followed by White Queen, Mystique, Angel, and Red Devil. The underground chamber was dimly lit, and as they ventured deeper, they came across a large room filled with various technological equipment, screens, and holographic displays.

"This is unexpected. It's like a hidden lair," White Queen commented, looking around with a mix of surprise and curiosity.

Red Devil explained, "Shaw always thought ahead. He wanted to provide guidance and resources for the future leaders of mutants. This place serves as a nexus of information, technology, and strategic planning."

Magneto approached one of the holographic displays and manipulated it using his magnetic powers. Information about mutant-related events, potential threats, and technological advancements scrolled across the display.

White Queen examined another section that seemed to contain data on genetic research and mutant abilities. "This is extensive. Shaw was truly forward-thinking."

As they explored further, they found rooms dedicated to training simulations, containing advanced technology designed to enhance mutant abilities. Red Devil guided them through the various areas, providing explanations and insights.

Finally, they arrived at a vault-like room. Red Devil stepped forward and, using his spatial abilities, unlocked the vault. Inside, they found an array of advanced suits, gadgets, and even some experimental devices designed to boost mutant powers.

Magneto looked at the array of equipment with a sense of approval. "Shaw was indeed preparing for the future. This will be invaluable for the next generation of mutants."

White Queen, while still somewhat skeptical, couldn't deny the practicality of the resources before her. The Mystique, Angel, and Riptide were also intrigued by the possibilities these tools offered.

As they explored the underground chamber, Red Devil observed their reactions. It was clear that, despite their initial doubts, the legacy left by Shaw had managed to captivate their attention and potentially secure a place for Red Devil within their ranks.

Red Devil continued to guide them through the underground chamber, unveiling more secrets that Shaw had left behind. As they explored further, they discovered advanced technology, experimental devices, and resources aimed at empowering mutants. Raven, Angel, and Riptide, who initially had doubts, now found themselves drawn to the practical benefits of the legacy.

One by one, they came across rooms dedicated to enhancing mutant abilities, training simulations, and strategic planning. The sheer scale and depth of Shaw's preparations left everyone in awe.

Finally, the group arrived at a vault-like room where an array of advanced suits, gadgets, and experimental devices were stored. Red Devil explained their purpose and function, emphasizing the potential they held for the future of mutants.

Magneto, though still vigilant, found himself appreciating the strategic foresight Shaw had displayed. "This is a substantial investment in the future of mutants. Shaw's vision was truly remarkable."

As they explored the underground chamber, Red Devil observed their reactions. It was clear that, despite their initial doubts, the legacy left by Shaw had managed to captivate their attention and potentially secure a place for Red Devil within their ranks.

Back at the vault-like room, Red Devil gestured toward a particular section. "These suits are not just ordinary; they have been enhanced with advanced technology to maximize mutant abilities. Each one is tailored to suit different powers. Try them on, and you'll see the difference."

Magneto examined the suits with interest, recognizing the potential advantages they could provide in various situations.

Red Devil then pointed to a particular device. "This is a prototype energy converter. It can absorb ambient energy and convert it into a usable power source for mutants. Shaw believed that such technology could be crucial in the battles ahead."

Magneto, White Queen, and the others began to appreciate the scope of Shaw's preparations. It wasn't just about resources; it was about empowering mutants to face the challenges of the world.

Red Devil, seeing their reactions, said, "Shaw left all this for the next generation of mutant leaders. He had faith in your abilities to lead and protect our kind. Now it's up to you to carry on his legacy."

As they delved deeper into the underground chamber, Red Devil guided them to an area where holographic displays showcased potential threats and opportunities for mutants. The information was vast, covering global events and the status of various mutant groups.

Magneto, impressed by the comprehensive nature of the information, couldn't help but acknowledge Shaw's strategic brilliance. "With this knowledge, we can navigate the challenges that lie ahead. Shaw's legacy is not just about wealth; it's about giving mutants a fighting chance in this world."

The group, now more unified and inspired, continued to explore the underground chamber, ready to embrace the responsibilities and opportunities that Shaw's legacy had bestowed upon them.

Magneto, deeply moved, harbors both an unforgettable hatred and an inexplicable awe for Shaw. Now, the hatred has dissipated, leaving only admiration. Magneto resolves to follow Shaw's guidance.

Suppressing his emotions, Magneto scans the surroundings and unexpectedly discovers an iron door. Engraved on it is the name "Max Eisenhardt," a name Magneto is on the verge of forgetting since his mother's demise, as he embarked on a vengeful path. Eric Lehnsherr, however, did not anticipate the reappearance of this long-discarded name.

Puzzled by Shaw's choice to inscribe this name, Magneto contemplates and then decisively pushes open the door. Entering a confined 30-square-meter space, he's startled to find his hardworking mother preserved in a glass container.

Instantly, tears well up in Magneto's eyes as childhood memories flood back. His father's early demise led his mother to toil relentlessly, and their internment in a Nazi concentration camp during World War II marked a tragic chapter. The poignant moment when he fails to move the coin, leading to his mother's demise, replays in Magneto's mind.

Fueled by anger, Magneto questions Shaw's intentions with his mother's remains. However, discovering a letter addressed to him nearby, he quells his anger and reads its contents.

"Little Eric, you've grown into a man. Reading this means you're qualified. I regret the loss you suffered in the concentration camp. What you witnessed was a test—I froze your mother, and she didn't die. Lift the ice, and she'll come back to life. As my successor, lead mutants, fulfill the legacy, and don't disappoint."

The letter slips from Magneto's hand as he gazes at his frozen mother, grappling with indescribable emotions. The resentment he once harbored was merely a trial; his mother survived. Now, faced with Shaw, he questions how to reconcile his feelings.

Epiphany strikes—his life's biggest regret is mended. To compensate Shaw, Magneto resolves to complete unfinished business, benefit mutants, and tirelessly work for their rise, even at the cost of his own life. Unyielding, Magneto's eyes reflect newfound determination and a profound sense of self-realization.
