There was an inferno incoming.
Dante Hade was on his way. I planned to get to the edge of the northern frontier before he could breach through the territory. I was only doing this because the Fractless couldn't. As accelerated as his development was, a few months was too little time to tap into his fullest potential.
Enzo had years to become as strong as he'd become. Klyson was only halfway there.
Although Ian had left the Sloth Factor to him, numbers in a colony of proxies would do nothing to Hade. It stands from the fact alone that if you are capable of escaping the Cube, not even an army could stop you.
That is why I've chosen to frontline his barrage.
The air is getting hotter.
Even from hundreds of miles away, I could feel his heat emanating in my direction. Knowing his capabilities, it would come as no surprise to find that he could hover using the fire from his Fractal. He must have been soaring towards at this rate.
I must get there first.
I increased the rate at which each Obelus expanded, accelerating my speed forwards. An 'Obelus' was what my Fractal could spawn. They were green orbs that I could deploy at any point in space I imagined, could expand or contract their size to my whim, and they could even adapt and take form of the things they enveloped. To give myself velocity, I deployed them in the spaces around me, instantly expanding them to propel me in my intended directions. Since the action was so quick, only the sight of flashing green lights would be left behind in my changing positions. I'd learned early-on that anything encapsulated within an Obelus was immediately my own reality to manipulate—everything within was influenced only by my Fractal.
Considering that criteria, I've been defined to have Deployable Fractal Boxes.
"You are an anomaly."
Ian had made it clear to me that I was unparalleled. Incomparable, even. While he needed to collaborate with Hugo's Fractal, Imbue, to form Fractal Boxes, I only needed my Fractal alone. I could deploy as many Obeli as I wanted, whenever I wanted, and as large or as small as I desired. My Fractal was so vague yet diverse that even until now, it has never been defined.
No one knew what my Fractal truly was.
Even I myself do not understand its limits. Ian had told me on numerous occasions that its development only had room to grow exponentially towards infinity. The possibilities are essentially endless.
I'm near.
It had been a few hours ever since I left the factory, and I was already close to the northern frontier. It would still be even more hours before Dante would arrive. I could sense the closer he got. Suddenly, my instincts had caught wind of clouds that approached the region. They looked dark and heavy.
A storm?
As I landed on the grass and looked off towards the rising sun that would soon be engulfed, I held my breath in anticipation of the blaze that would soon break the horizon.
"I'm waiting for you, Dante Hade."
