Chapter 5 - Skill Classification

With a deep breath and renewed determination, Shin approached the section of the guild hall where the job masters were stationed. Each master had an area that represented their respective job, decorated with symbols and artifacts. The warrior section was unmistakable, adorned with weapons and armor that gleamed in the dim light.

The warrior job master was a tall, muscular man with a scar running down his face, giving him an air of seasoned authority. He noticed Shin's approach and nodded, gesturing for him to come closer.

"Welcome, newcomer," the warrior job master said in a deep, resonant voice. "I am Garret Ironfist, the master of warriors. You seek to understand the path of the warrior, do you?"

Shin nodded eagerly. "Yes, I want to know what it means to be a warrior in this world."

Garret smiled, a mixture of pride and respect in his expression. "The path of the warrior is one of strength, honor, and discipline. Warriors are the frontline fighters, the shield that protects and the sword that strikes. We rely on our physical prowess and combat skills to overcome our enemies. Training is rigorous, but it shapes us into formidable fighters. As a warrior, you'll learn various combat techniques, weapon mastery, and the art of defense."

Shin listened intently, the idea of becoming a warrior resonating deeply with him. "I want to become a warrior," he declared with conviction.

Garret nodded approvingly. "Very well. By accepting this path, you pledge to uphold the values of strength and honor. Are you ready to make that commitment?"

"Yes, I am," Shin replied firmly.

"Then place your hand on this," Garret instructed, holding out a polished stone tablet engraved with ancient runes. As Shin placed his hand on the tablet, he felt a surge of energy course through him. A notification appeared before his eyes:

---

**Status Update:**

**Job Acquired: Warrior**

**Skills Gained: Basic Swordsmanship, Shield Defense, Combat Endurance**

---

Shin felt a new sense of power and awareness flow through him as the skills integrated into his being. Just as he was about to express his gratitude, another notification appeared, making his eyes widen in astonishment:

---

**Blessing of the Cosmos Activated:**

**Skills Upgraded to Unique Skills:**

- Basic Swordsmanship -> Celestial Swordsmanship

- Shield Defense -> Cosmic Shield

- Combat Endurance -> Astral Endurance

---

Dumbfounded by the sudden upgrade of his skills, Shin stared at the notification. Garret noticed his bewildered expression and raised an eyebrow.

"What's the matter, lad?" Garret asked, his tone a mix of curiosity and concern.

Feeling slightly embarrassed, Shin tried to find the right words. "I... I just received a notification that my skills have been upgraded to something called 'Unique Skills.'"

Garret's eyes widened slightly in recognition, and he leaned in, his interest piqued. "Unique Skills, you say? That's quite remarkable."

Shin, still processing the information, asked, "What exactly makes a Unique Skill so special?"

Garret took a moment to collect his thoughts before answering. "Skills in this world are classified into several tiers based on their rarity and power: Normal, Unique, Legendary, Mythic, and Ultimate. Normal skills are the most common, learned by most adventurers. Unique skills are rare and possess enhanced abilities compared to their normal counterparts. They often have special effects or greater potency."

He continued, "Legendary skills are even rarer and are usually tied to legendary figures or artifacts. They have significant power and can often change the course of battles. Mythic skills are almost the stuff of legends, incredibly powerful and rare, often tied to ancient myths and beings. Finally, Ultimate skills are the pinnacle of power, possessed by only a few beings in existence. They are the most potent and can shape the fate of the world."

Shin felt a mix of excitement and trepidation. He had only just begun his journey in this world, yet he had already encountered something extraordinary. "Why did my skills upgrade like this?" he wondered aloud, feeling the weight of his new abilities.

Garret looked at him thoughtfully. "There could be several reasons. One possibility is that you have a rare talent that causes your skills to upgrade. Another likely reason is some sort of hidden blessing or affinity you possess. Sometimes, extraordinary individuals are born with latent abilities that manifest in unique ways."

Shin nodded, still trying to wrap his mind around the implications of his new abilities. "Thank you, Master Garret. I'll do my best to live up to this gift."

Garret smiled, clapping Shin on the shoulder. "I'm sure you will, lad. Now, let's get you started with your training. You've got a lot to learn and a bright future ahead of you."
