Chapter 33 - Chapter 32: Butterfly Effect

3rd Pov

In Duloc City, the capital of the Grand Duchy of Teutonia, we can see walking through the streets of the city a certain anthropomorphic pig named Heimlich, one of the Three Little Pigs, was going to Bad Bakery to buy bread, but he could see that some Teutonians looked at him in a discreet but not friendly way, which made him sigh internally.

People in Duloc-now Teutonia didn't trust Fairy Tale Creatures and Magical Beings very much, especially Fairy Tale Creatures since there were certain incidents (like the one involving Heimlich and his brothers and the Big Bad Wolf Case) that spread the news throughout the original lands of Teutonia, while no one did anything against the Magical and Fairy Tale Beings because of the Laws that came from Grand Duke von Farquaad (which Heimlich was very grateful for), after all, all Teutonians(frpm the old Duloc's lands) were loyal to the Grand Duke in a very fanatical way, yet they received distrust and sometimes even hatred from some Teutonians.

At least things weren't that bad, with Heimlich believing that things could get better, but leaving that aside, he continued walking calmly through the streets of Duloc City until he arrived at a bakery, this bakery belonged to a friend of the Baker who was the father of the Gingerbread Man, with the Gingerbread Man living in this friend's bakery.

The bakery was closed during the War of the Duchies because the baker had joined the now Teutonian Army, with him receiving the title of Knight at the end of the War in addition to a good amount of money, which he used to expand the bakery, improve the establishment and his House, which was on the second floor of the building where his bakery was.

Upon entering, he saw the Gingerbread Man or "Gingy" serving a witch who was buying some pieces of chocolate cake and bread, when the witch paid for everything and put the things packed in her magic bag, she left, thus having no one to make the Pig that builds Brick Houses free to be served, Heimlich went to Gingy, who noticed his presence.

"Good morning, Heimlich! Wants to order the usual?" Gingy asked in a cheerful and carefree tone. Outsiders would think that was his personality, but the Fairy Tale Creatures knew that this was just a facade because Gingy was someone who was quite worrywart and was occasionally snarky, but it was work hours, and he didn't want to bring losses to his friend's bakery, so he used this facade.

"Yes, the usual, but this time I also want to buy a chocolate cake," Heimlich said calmly, with Gingy nodding and shouting to Wilhelm, the baker, about the orders, while Gingy kept getting the prices.

"That will be 7 Marks and 30 Pfennig," Gingy said after doing the calculations on a piece of paper, with Heimlich nodding and already handing him the Money.

Wilhelm then, who was in the back, arrived with a package containing everything and handed it to Heimlich, who took everything.

"Hey, Heimlich! Tell Horst and Dieter I said hi," Wilhelm said with a smile on his face; Wilhelm was always friendly with others, which made Heimlich smile.

"Okay, be well, Ja?" Heimlich said as he said goodbye to the two and left the bakery with his things.

Joseph Pov

Today was the day I was finally leaving this damn place, away from the Evil Queen! I was at the entrance of the Royal Palace, happily kissing Grimhilde's hand, happy because it would be the last time in at least a few years that I would see such a being of pure evil and narcissism.

"Your Royal Majesty, I thank you for being under your generous hospitality, may your reign last for many and many years" I said with a fake but extremely charismatic smile, characteristic of me.

The queen then smiled at me with that clearly fake smile, with my back sweating coldly with worry, with me wanting to know what evil plans were in the head of such a woman.

"It was an honor, Your Excellency von Farquaad" She said with that smile, I could even see her cheeks getting a little pinker, I had to congratulate her for at least knowing how to pretend, such a skill is not easily learned... but considering that she was a witch, she could do a lot.

I then turned to Princess Snow White, bowing to her in respect as etiquette demands, besides having a sincere smile this time, but hidden under my smile there was a spark of pity, if I could I would take such a child with me to have a calm life in Teutonia, to live like a normal child and not a princess who would be poisoned by her Stepmother and then the only way to wake up was by the kiss of a man who was already an adult while she was 14 years old.

"Your Royal Highness, it was an honor to have spoken with you during my stay at the Palace," I said respectfully to Snow White, who smiled at me as she bowed, holding the ends of her skirt.

"It was an honor to see you and talk to you, Your Excellency von Farquaad, may you have a calm and safe journey back to Teutonia," Snow White said to me with an innocent smile.

I then said goodbye to the Evil Queen and Snow White and got into my Imperialwagen, with one of my Personal Guards, who was the coachman, making the horses start walking.

I was happy that I would finally return to my "Palace" that would need to be upgraded in the future to be something worthy of a Kaiser, but then the smile on my face began to diminish because now that I noticed something important... I would have to deal with the paperwork when I returned to my domains..... damn it!

I sighed as I remembered that damn detail, already rubbing my forehead knowing how much paperwork there must be waiting for me to sign or stamp.

"Fuck...." I said angrily.

Grimhilde Pov

I see Grand Duke von Farquaad's carriage with a smile on his face, the smile he had while kissing my hand showed that I was making this man mine, besides that I saw for a brief moment before the carriage left his face of sadness as he sighed, aaah~ he must really love me!

But then I think about the way he had looked at my stepdaughter with a look that showed pity deep in his eyes, that made me remember what he had said to me that day about wanting to have a family, besides him being jealous of my stepdaughter and I having a good relationship... that made me think about something.

I look at Snow White and think about how I treated her since her former husband died, while I never laid a finger on her or hurt her... I was never a good stepmother in the sense that I never spent much time with her, and the time I did spend was mostly during the celebrations, whether it was my birthday or hers, in addition to the time we ate together during lunch and dinner...

And that made me think about something extremely important... how will I be a good mother to my future children that I will have with Joseph von Farquaad if I don't even treat my stepdaughter well? Yes, my children would be perfect, beautiful like me, and intelligent like their father, but would I really be able to take good care of them?

That... made me make a decision.

"Snow White" I call my stepdaughter's attention, who was looking in the direction where the Grand Duke von Farquaad's carriage had gone, until she focused her attention on me.

"Y-yes, Stepmother?" She asks me while looking at me with those eyes, that were waiting for me to tell her to prepare for the teachings she would have.

I then showed the calmest smile I could while looking at her; I think it was time for me to fix some problems that I had made.

"I was thinking, how about we spend some time in the garden, drinking tea?" I ask her and I can see that she had a face that showed surprise.

"Y-are you sure, Stepmother? Because in a little while, I would have an etiquette lesson with Madame Bon-" She was going to talk about the etiquette lesson with the noblewoman that I had hired to teach her, but then I stopped her before she finished speaking.

"It's okay, my dear, I think... we can skip some classes so we can spend some time together, then? Do you want to have tea with me?" I ask her calmly and still with a smile on my face, I then see her face, which was confused, light up with happiness.

"Yes, Stepmother!" Snow White says with a smile, I'll be honest... it was cute, I then started walking with her into the Royal Palace.

While Joseph in the Imperialwagen was mentally complaining about the paperwork he would have to deal with when he returned to the Grand Duchy of Teutonia before going to the diplomatic mission in the Kingdom of Arstiin, little did he know that the butterfly he had accidentally created was flapping its wings so hard that a hurricane of gigantic proportions was happening.

The world, which was spinning and suffering from such a hurricane, would soon receive more and more hurricanes because of the actions he would continue to do.
