Next morning, crownstar company.
Martin drove his Red Roll Royce into the prestige compound.
Sunny opens the car door for him.
He stepped out of the car delicately, each step he took was with caution, his lounge suit stood perfectly on his masculine body. His well placed tie gives him the tycoon look.
"Get me my suitcase." His masculine voice sounds cool.
"Here, sir." Sunny said, stretching the suitcase to him.
Martin gestured to him with his hand, to follow him.
He walked graciously towards the giant building.
The office became serene, immediately he stepped in. Every employee arranged themselves in order, the office was pristine, reflecting the exact standards he held his employees to.
Every desk in the modern office was equipped with a touchscreen computer and wireless charging pad.
"Good morning, sir." They chorus.
He nodded his head in response, walking straight to his office without sparing anyone a glare.
The wallpaper was immaculate, and the ceiling tiles were glassy, making the spartan office to pulse with life.
Sunny drops his suitcase carefully on the classy table, making sure it doesn't make a sound.
"You can leave, I will call you when I need you." He said.
Sunny walked towards the door, just to meet Humble at the door.
"Oh, Mr Humble." Sunny said in a tiny voice, making Humble laugh.
"The talkative is here today." Humble mumbled, so Martin wouldn't hear his voice.
Sunny laughed at the way his words came out. They have been best buddies ever since Mrs Cornelius was in charge. Sunny is known to be the ludicrous and loquacious one.
"I have always been here before your existence here." Sunny jabber.
"Have you got a new P.A for me?" Martin asked for the office.
"No, sir." Humble replied, appearing fully in Martin's office.
"What have you been doing all through yesterday?" Martin queried.
"Sir, I told you it's hard finding a qualified candidate for this position." Humble said gently.
"And what makes you think you are qualified for your job?.. before the end of today I want a new P.A I don't care how you will go about it." He said coldly,
Humble provocatively looked at him with a contemptuous glance.
"I think you don't value your job anymore." Martin sneered.
"Am so sorry sir, pardon my attitude." He said, looking down.
Humble was still talking when Martin glimpsed Tracy, radiant in her white dress.
She was wearing a white slender gown with one shoulder exposed, March with light blue heels, and her curvy hair fell graciously down her covered shoulder, with a kinkly smile on her tender face.
Humble sense his boss was lost looking at something, he turned back to behold the least expected, a smile escaped his lips at least he would be free from the sudden assignment.
Martin watched her walk in graciously with mouth agape. Her sophisticated dress and elegant moves amaze him.
"Good morning, sir."
She eventually walked in and muttered audibly, but particularly pleasant to the hearing.
Her tiny hazel eyes were slightly panicked and at a loss, like a startled cat.
Humble could imagine the handsome and cold face of his boss, immediately she walked in, but he couldn't tell if he was going to accept her, or.. does he know whether she came for the job? but he wishes that would be her purpose for coming.
"How may I help you young miss." His deep voice resonates through the office.
Tracy was taken aback by his question, but nonetheless, she replied calmly. "I came to apologize for my attitude towards you yesterday and I wish you could grant back my job as your Personal Assistance."
She studied his cold expression for a moment before continuing. "Please, it will be a very big shame for me not to get this job, and my family are looking up to me, please grant me the job."
"Leave my office right now." Martin thundered.
She sniffed like she would cry.
Humble felt sorry for her, but he had nothing to do about it, he only pleaded with his eyes.
"Sir, please help me, I promise to be in my best behavior. Only you can grant me this job." She pleaded, like her life depends on him.
Humble was shocked, he also realized how young girls are so aggressive when looking for jobs these days? Is this girl relying solely on her wit to get by in life?
"Sir, you can punish me by deducted from my salary but let me get this job, I'm in dire need of money, life isn't a rosy bed out there and the society doesn't recommend with a wretched broke lady like me, I have to save my family and myself, only you can help me, please!!."
She crouched down immediately.
Martin was a little stunned and couldn't figure out how the rude, and unreasonable person turned into a harmless and pitiful little girl in the blink of an eye.
This is funny!
"Fine."
What all he said.
"Is that a yes? Did you grant me my job back."
She immediately stood up straight, took a step back, and clasped her hands together at her waist, bowing ninety degrees in a standard salute to Martin. "Thank you, sir; It is an incomparably great privilege to be working for you." She said,
Humble laughed so heartedly that tears eloped his eyes. Martin only chortles slightly.
"Pack those files and arrange it, I want to know my schedule for today." He said.
"Congrats." Humble said, a hint of happiness in his voice.
"Thank you."
"Am so happy for you, we must celebrate this after work." Humble winked, trying to make Martin talk.
"Sure, bill on you, right??." Tracy laughed.
Martin wondered how the pity looking girl crying some minutes ago became so cheerful right. "Why don't you two go celebrate now and never return to the CROWNSTAR company." He sneered.
"So sorry boss." Humble rushed out of the office, laughing alongside. Tracy smiles slowly.
