Ythmar was thinking heavily about the implications of accepting Ominous's offer, a Universe God was nothing short of a Supreme being in the making, to fight against a being of that caliber you have to be prepared to fight against the full Might of a universe, multiple High Gods and their pantheons plus the Universe's Owner, on the other hand he and the Others had a High chance of success, being High level god space-time beings with a great survival rate.
Ythmar : I can agree to aid you in your quest, but a simple enhancement would not be enough ( his greedy Dragon nature was starting show ) you must understand that after becoming a Universe God yourself you're half way secured to become a supreme being, for us to be on equal terms of cooperation it would only be fair that once you become a Universe God yourself you would help me step into the supreme realm.
