Chapter 5 - Lydia

Before she could understand why the big lesser imp didn't kill her while she was evolving, Ominous sent her flying with a kick into the rock she hid behind to evolve

He moved fast and put his hoof on her back, while she was trashing around he applied more pressure until she stopped trying to resist

Normally, one would start having underlings only when he became an imp or a high imp and could use magic to bind and enslave them to his will, but Ominous wanted to try a trick and see if it would work.

Pulling out his imposing private part as the lesser imp was looking at him with her side eye while the other side of her face was pushed in the black dirt

Ominous started peeing on her as an animal would on his territory, he roared to the sky in hopes of shaking her will

Her eye's widened as if she understood that he was claiming control over her, as soon as he pulled his leg back Lydia went on her knees, not daring to look at his eyes.

Ominous walked away happy with his new recruit and happy his trick worked, and his meaning got inside the other imps thick skull

While resting, Lydia started pointing at a direction and grunting to get his attention, trying to understand her meaning he figured out she was telling him that they should leave the area and go to the portal, he ignored her as he went to rest under his rock.

After resting for what felt like a day, Ominous and his new follower went back to the beach for a new round of hunt, this time the hunt helped him grow his wings and fly with them

Lydia on the other hand was amazed by the smart idea of staying and hunting the easy prey instead of going directly to the first floor to struggle for survival

Days went by and the more they hunted, the more they grew stronger, Ominous was now 2,5 m his wings large enough for him to carry 2 people and his muscles were harder and stronger he could punch small rocks into powder

Lydia on the other hand grew taller to 1.8 m her face went from a snake like goblin's face to a medusa like hobgoblin's face, she looked kind of cute and dumb at the same time

But she had shown her loyalty multiple times to her master she had no wings as gray imps couldn't have wings until they evolved to high imps

Red ones had wings once they evolved from lesser imps to imps, and dark ones like our dear Ominous had that advantage early on at the lesser imp stage.

Ominous, started feeling the need to evolve he conferred the protection role to his trusted aid and went on to evolve under his favorite rock

Soon, as he was focusing on his evolution route, he noticed that his options were as follows :

Elite Imp : an Elite imp capable of crushing other imps in the fields of Arcane magic and strength capable of abyssal speech.

Imp : a full-fledged Imp capable of using Lesser magic.

Lesser Minos : an imp with blood from the Minotaur family, gaining more strength than most imps.

Lesser lycan : an imp with werewolf blood, gaining sharper senses and more agility than most imps.

Ominous without a doubt wanted the Elite route, as he made his choice he fell into slumber

Waking up he could feel that he was the same height his legs were human like his face too only with sharp and long ears like an elf

His horns were the same he could feel his muscles were more condensed as if they grew not in size but mass

Mother Abyss told him that he had a magic core now, and he could use magic wish he would have to shape and bend as he will's it.

Getting out from under the man made cave under his big rock, he couldn't help but try to feel this new energy in his body called magic

Lydia on the other hand got amazed at how her master changed after the evolution, she could feel power emanating from him

As he focused the magic energy in his hand, Ominous started imagining fire just like in his past life the friction between atoms and the consumption of energy

Shortly after this logical idea came to his mind, a great flame came from his hand, burning some of his palm's flesh and the sand in front of him.

Thinking about what he did wrong, he started calling what he did spell casting and the second time he started thinking about making a fire that wouldn't harm him

And it worked his fire didn't hurt him no matter what, from casting healing spells thinking about cell regeneration

To casting telekinetic spells thinking about the power of physics applied on objects, he could do it all as long as he understood the reason why it worked, the only thing holding him back was his magic pool.

Magic was like a power manifesting the will and understanding of the one casting the spell.

As long as you knew the concept behind what you were doing, and you had a magic core, it was easy to cast spell's.
