A man unlocked the padlock from the chain and removed it, then tossed it aside.
"Alpha Benjamin's daughter is here to see you," Nadia announced as I noticed Rita standing beside her, wearing her usual mischievous smile.
"Kayla has been unhappy since she left. Thank you, Queen of the Shifters, for this opportunity," Rita said, smiling and giving a respectful bow.
"You're welcome, and please teach your daughter how to be assertive. She is an Alpha's daughter and shouldn't be too soft," Nadia advised.
"Kayla is such a wonderful and kind girl. She is strong, but her heart is beautiful," Rita smiled, causing me to grimace because I know Kayla very well. She is an arrogant and overly pampered child. I knew Rita and her daughter were up to something and I couldn't help wondering what they were up to.
