As early as 4 a.m., I eagerly climbed out of bed and immediately started boiling water for our baths. We had to be at the riverside by 6 a.m., and I couldn't contain my excitement. This meeting was an opportunity for me to finally share my work with my confidante, and hopefully get it published.
"What about her third novel that you haven't read?" Jenna asked.
"I will tell her the simple truth when I see her."
"Alright, I hope she won't get angry."
"She won't," I responded nonchalantly, wondering what was so special about that third novel. Perhaps it contained some secret about her past life or hidden truths about the world. I said to myself.
"But why did she keep asking you about that third novel?" Jenna asked. "What's so special about it?" Jenna asked as if she read my mind.
"I don't know," I responded.
"I read all her novels and they are all interesting. No one is more interesting than the other."
