"Now, go to your room and go to sleep. It's late for children."
Saya said to the two of them.
Yuna and the others had also retired to their rooms. Kiara and Ayato went to their room. The girl turned her night light on, which was between her bed and Ayato's.
10 minutes later, Kiara was blissfully sucking her thumb. Ayato watched her, fighting the urge to fall asleep.
"The lady is asleep now..."
He was thinking about Yuna. Ayato silently got out of his bed and took out the cutlery set. The boy tip-toed out of the room, trying to close the door as silently as possible.
He ventured to Yuna's room, which was on the same floor. The boy had an uncomfortable smile on his face. His thoughts and expressions didn't match. It was the effect of ignorance.
When Ayato reached her room, he knocked on the door. After waiting for a little while, it was answered.
"Who is...? Ah, it's you, boy."
Yuna said in her nightgown. She smiled insidiously upon seeing Ayato. Ayato brandished the white box in his hand.
"Let's play a game."
"Yes, come in."
She said.
The boy walked into her room. The woman closed the door behind her, secretly locking the door while licking her lips. She wanted to mess with Ayato, who was Saya's child.
Ayato happily sat down on the bed, clutching the white box to his chest. He swung his floating legs back and forth.
Yuna sat next to him.
"So, what game did you want to play?"
"Could you turn around? I want it to surprise you!"
"Okay,"
She turned around.
The woman didn't know what was inside the white box. Ayato opened it up and grabbed a fork. He stabbed it into the woman's throat.
"—!"
The woman collapsed onto the floor, holding her throat. Her face contorted disgustingly in pain. Ayato stood up.
"You...? What...?"
Bloodlust was a thing. When somebody wanted to kill another intentionally, bloodlust would leak, no matter how small or large.
The thing that surprised Yuna more than getting attacked by a 3-year-old was the fact that no bloodlust leaked from him.
That sort of thing could only be done by a professional. So, there were two possibilities. Either, Ayato was a prodigy or he had no intention of killing Yuna.
It was the latter. Ayato did not know the value of life and the loss of life. He didn't know the price.
"You bullied Mother. And so, I'm going to bully you. Father said that I should solve the problem myself and he was right. It feels good."
The boy smiled, not knowing the weight of what he was doing. Yuna was bleeding from the fork in her throat. She was lucky that it missed an artery.
Ayato took out a knife and stabbed her stomach.
"Wow! I've never seen someone else's blood before. It looks nice like mine."
"You... psycho...!"
Yuna was barely conscious. The pain was throwing her to and fro fainting or dying.
"Hm? I can't use the spoons... Ah, I have an idea."
The boy grabbed a spoon. He slowly brought it to her eye. Yuna realised what he was doing.
"N-no... D-don't... Not that, plea—KKYYYAAAHHHH!"
A bloodcurdling scream filled the air. Ayato scooped out Yuna's eye. It was certainly something extraordinarily painful. Perhaps just as much as being stabbed in the stomach or worse.
"You didn't stop with Mother. She got a head injury because you bullied her."
Ayato grabbed a chopstick and forcibly opened the same eyesocket which he gorged out the eye from. Yuna began crying.
"S-stop... Please... I'll stop it... I won't hurt Saya Kyouya again, so please..."
Her voice became faint. She was losing blood and there was a fork in her throat.
"I'm just going to beat you until you can't move anymore, that's all."
The boy innocently announces, shoving the chopsticks into her bleeding eye socket.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"We can continue, can't we, Miss?"
"N-NO! SOMEONE! HEL—AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!"
The clock struck midnight. The day was now January 3rd. It was Ayato's 4th birthday.
"PPPPLLLLLEEAAAASSSSSEEEE!"
"No, I can't! You're still moving!"
Ayato was torturing a woman. Yuna was not a magician. She joined the Kyouya Family in hopes of raising a magician child. She did, but that child wasn't the heir. That was because of Ayato's existence.
And so, she bullied Saya, wanting her to give up her position. That was all a mistake that led to her cruel, torturous death.

25 minutes later, after hearing complaints, Saya Kyouya and Goto Kyouya arrived at Yuna's room.
"The door is locked. I guess I'll break it down."
Goto primed his fist and struck the door, sending it flying into the room.
"What the...?"
The middle of the room was covered in blood. They entered the room, cautiously. They both turned their eyes to the left side, near the beds.
"Y-Yuna?!"
Saya called out.
It was a stomach-churning sight. Multiple utensils were sticking out of every orifice and wound. A boy stood in front of the body, daydreaming.
When Goto turned on the light, he saw who was in the room.
"Ayato?!"
"What?"
Saya ran over to the boy. She was going to hug him but he was stained in blood.
"Didn't I tell you to go to bed?! Why are you here?!"
She asked him, worried.
The boy slowly turned to the woman. He looked tired and unsatisfied.
"Mother... She's not moving."
Saya furrowed her brow. She assumed that it was the shock of seeing a dead body for the first time.
"Yes, Ayato, she isn't..."
"After everything I did, I thought she would move for longer. I thought I would be able to bully her more."
The woman's eyes widened. She didn't comprehend what he said properly. Goto blinked in confusion.
"Ayato, what are you...?"
"Ayato, did you kill her?"
Goto asked the boy.
"Goto!"
"Saya, shut up for a moment!"
Ayato finally realised that his father was in the room too. He began smiling.
"Father! I did it! I got her back for bullying Mom! I won, right?! She isn't moving!"
The man marched over to Ayato and slapped the boy. He grabbed him by his collar. Saya tried to push Goto away from Ayato, but he was too strong.
"Why did you kill her?! No, did you even realise what you were doing, you stupid brat?!"
"Goto! Let go of him! He's a child!"
"A brat who killed!"
Ayato began shivering. He was upset. Tears started flowing from his eyes.
"W-why are you shouting at me?! I did it like you told me!"
He shouted.
"What?! I never told you to kill someone!"
"When I visited you, you said that you didn't care and that I should solve the problem myself! I remember you said I could kill someone and you wouldn't care!"
"I didn't—!"
But he did. He did say that. Ayato had just remembered that now and realised what kill means. Saya took this opportunity and snatched Ayato away from Goto. She held him tight. She was glaring at him.
"It's all right, Ayato, it's all right!"
While crying, the woman was calming Ayato down. Goto stood there, frozen.
"This is what you get for putting impossible expectations upon your son. Now he has to live with this stigma for his entire life."
She said.
"But I..."
The Kyouya Family was never the same after this incident.
