Chapter 21: Lost in the Unknown Realm

As Alex's eyes adjusted to the strange, dark world around him, he couldn't help but feel a sense of disorientation and confusion. The crimson sky with intersecting blue and red moons was unlike anything he had ever seen before, and it only served to deepen the mystery of his current predicament.

He pushed himself up from the ground, his mind racing with questions. Who were those dark figures that attacked them, and where had they taken him? More importantly, how could he find his way back to his family and wife, Ariana?

Surveying his surroundings, Alex noticed that the terrain under his feet was a mix of blue and red hues, with small patches of ruined and withered trees scattered around. It was an eerie and desolate landscape, and he felt a pang of sadness at the sight of the lifeless trees.

Askin himself some questions in his mind as he tried to make sense of the situation. "Who were those people that attacked us? Are they from this world? Or did they bring me to a different realm entirely?."

Surveying his surroundings, Alex noticed that the terrain under his feet was a mix of blue and red hues, with small patches of ruined and withered trees scattered around. It was an eerie and desolate landscape, and he felt a pang of sadness at the sight of the lifeless trees.

The realization that his mana and aura were suppressed in this realm left him with a sense of vulnerability. His most potent tools for defense and offense were currently unusable, and that fact nagged at him. He knew he had to be cautious and rely on his other skills and instincts to survive in this unknown world.

His thoughts turned to his cherished possession, the book "Emperor of Magic," which had been a source of immense knowledge and guidance throughout his journey. But when he attempted to access it in his mind, he was met with a distressing sight. The book appeared to be trapped, bound by heavy chains that snaked around it, and cracks marred its once pristine cover.

"It seems even my connection to 'Emperor of Magic' is compromised in this strange place," Alex thought with growing concern. "If I can't access its wisdom, how can I navigate this unfamiliar world and find a way back home?"

Determined not to succumb to despair, Alex decided to explore his surroundings. Walking towards the patch of withered trees, he hoped to find some clues or signs of life. As he reached the trees, he noticed small, feeble leaves clinging to the branches, as if desperately holding on to life.

Kneeling down, he gently touched one of the leaves, feeling a faint spark of magic. "Even in this desolate place, there's still a trace of magic," he whispered to himself. "This world may be unfamiliar, but I won't lose hope. I'll find a way back, and I'll bring those who did this to their knees and kill them!."

As Alex continued his exploration, he kept a watchful eye out for any signs of civilization or other beings. He knew that understanding this world and its inhabitants would be key to unraveling the mystery of his predicament.

The blue and red terrain stretched out before him, offering no clear path or direction. Yet, with each step he took, he refused to give in to uncertainty. His resolve to reunite with his family

After 2 hours of walking and being a little tired even though he can't use his mana and aura, his powerful body still remains from the days he trained.

He sees a eerie village and his eyes widens, with renewed force he runs there

As Alex approached the eerie village, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. The silence hung heavily in the air, broken only by the soft rustling of the wind through the broken structures. The once-thriving village now lay in ruins, its buildings dilapidated and some entirely destroyed. It was a haunting sight, and he felt a wave of sadness for the people who once called this place home.

Alex:'What happened here?'

Carefully treading through the debris-strewn streets, he kept his guard up, his senses attuned to any signs of danger. The absence of life and the unsettling quietness left him on edge, and he couldn't help but wonder what could have caused such devastation.

As he explored further, he noticed faint traces of magic lingering in the air. It seemed as though some powerful spell had been unleashed upon the village, leaving its mark on the surroundings. The destruction was not a result of natural disaster, but something far more sinister.

Alex's heart sank as he imagined the suffering and fear the villagers must have endured. Whatever had happened here, it had been catastrophic. His instincts as a marshal urged him to investigate further and find any clues that could shed light on the mystery.

Searching through the remnants of the village, he discovered fragments of burnt parchment and broken magical artifacts. It was evident that magic had played a significant role in the devastation, but the nature and intent behind it remained unclear.

Alex 'So in this unknown realm exists magic, but why i can't use it?' Still with his head full of thoughts he continues to walk

As he delved deeper into the wreckage, he caught a glimpse of a symbol etched on the wall of a half-collapsed house. The symbol was unfamiliar to him, but it exuded a dark and malevolent energy. It appeared to be the mark of the attackers, confirming his suspicion that the village had fallen victim to a malicious force.

An unsettling feeling washed over him, but he knew he couldn't afford to be paralyzed by fear or doubt. He had to keep moving forward, to find answers and, if possible, survivors who could shed light on what had transpired.

With each step, he remained vigilant, scanning the surroundings for any signs of life. But the village remained eerily empty, devoid of any living soul. It was as if life itself had been extinguished from this place.

As Alex continues to walk his exhaustion grew, his body tiring from the long and arduous journey. He wished he could draw on his mana and aura to heal and invigorate himself, but the seal that stifled his powers remained unyielding.

Pushing through his weariness, he decided to take refuge in one of the more intact houses. It offered some shelter from the elements and allowed him a moment to catch his breath and gather his thoughts.

Sitting amidst the ruins, he couldn't help but feel a deep sense of responsibility. As a marshal and protector of his kingdom, he had sworn to defend his people from harm. Yet, here he was, in a strange and perilous world, unable to wield his full strength.

"I won't be defeated by this adversity," he whispered to himself, clenching his fists. "I'll find a way to break this seal and return to my world. And when I do, I'll make sure those who caused this suffering face my ire."

Resolute in his determination, Alex rested for a while, his mind swirling with questions and possibilities. He knew he couldn't stay in this forsaken village forever, and he needed to continue his journey to discover the truth of this enigmatic realm.
