After finishing up the first person, Tsukimi and Tsunade moved to the second one. Right now, they were alone in the entire hall, the rest of the staff dispersed as their work was done and they had to rest while the girls started annoying Tsunade with their fights and were thrown out by her.
They could only listen to her because Tsukimi refused to help them, which meant he was agreeing with her proposal. Since they could always keep an eye on their husband using their senses, they reluctantly agreed to go out.
Tsunade would occasionally keep an eye on Tsukimi's progress as he continued his work. With the same progress, Tsukimi moved on to the next patient. Tsunade did not sit idle, seeing that Tsukimi was able to handle a person by himself, she started working on the rest of the ninjas.
By the time they were done with the rest of the ninjas, it was already dawn. Tsunade, by herself, cured more than half of the infected people while Tsukimi resorted to curing only a handful of them.
She could not help but marvel at the strength of the boy; he was so young and yet already this powerful. She started thinking, how powerful would he be if he was her age.
Shaking her head, Tsunade approached Tsukimi, who was resting on a seat nearby with his eyes closed, and sat beside him. During the whole process, Tsukimi did this a lot to recover his chakra, or that's what he showed on the surface.
"Thanks for the help! Because of you, I was able to help them on time."
"No worries, it helped me practice my chakra control." Tsukimi was naturally lying, as this amount of control was child's play for him.
"Are you done with the jutsus that your Sakumo senpai gave you before leaving?"
"Yeah, I am almost done with them. He really went all out with the jutsus he gave me."
Tsukimi wasn't exaggerating or lying this time; the amount of jutsus he gave him in that scroll were more powerful than most he had seen in this village.
Tsunade smiled, hearing his words, and commented,
"It just shows how much he values you and wants you to stay alive. He is a caring person. I have worked with him a few times, and he was always patient with us three and gave us a few lessons."
Tsukimi could see the respect in her eyes towards Sakumo as she spoke about him. He could not help but nod in agreement as he touched his side leg pocket where he kept the scroll jutsus Sakumo gave him.
"So, what is your strongest point in a fight? Is it your sensory abilities, or do you have any good elemental abilities you are confident in?"
Tsunade thought and asked. She wanted to help him with these techniques as a way of saying thanks. If he was talented in the few things she had confidence in teaching, she would definitely help him.
"Unfortunately, the thing I am most talented at is neither of what you are thinking. It is genjutsu!"
"Genjutsu?!"
To say Tsunade was shocked was an understatement. She could not imagine the boy who had so many talents, more than anyone she had seen, was even more talented in something that he had not even used once in front of her.
"Yeah, I rarely use it, but it is something that I am most talented at."
"Does Senpai know about it?"
"No, not really! He hasn't even seen me cast a single genjutsu."
Tsunade's lips twitched. What kind of student would hide stuff from his teacher, who could help him improve them?
But then again, who was she to complain? Wasn't she the same? Even though their teachers were worlds apart in terms of character, Sakumo was ultimately a loyal ninja of the Hidden Leaf Village, which was led by Hiruzen.
Before she could continue talking, a ninja walked into the room. He was wearing the Jonin vest, which also displayed his status as a Jonin ninja.
"Tsunade-sama, you have been called for a meeting in the main camp." He looked at the young boy sitting beside her and added, "All of the Jonin ninjas and below are ordered to be on standby."
Hearing the orders, Tsunade raised her eyebrows, realizing that they might engage in battle sooner than she had initially thought.
"Go and take the girls back."
Nodding at her, Tsukimi got up and walked out of the room in the direction he sensed the girls were.
Tsunade also left with the ninja in the direction of the main camp.
---
Making his way towards a wide camp, Tsukimi found all the ninjas on the battlefield present here. The air of the camp was tense as the ninjas who were newly promoted looked at each other with worry and a little fear. Since this was their first time in a real war, they couldn't help but become tense in fear of what they might face on the battlefield.
Tsukimi ignored the distressed looks on their faces and made his way towards a desolate corner where many male ninjas would occasionally glance. Matatabi and Kokuo were waiting for him with calm expressions in the corner.
Their beauty attracted many suitors among the crowd, but whenever they would think of approaching them, a chill would run up their spines, making them back out in fear. The cold eyes of the girls even contained a little killing intent towards the strangers.
"Looks like there is someone approaching them!"
"What a weird boy, does he think he is in Anbu? To wear a mask like that on the battlefield."
"He would piss his pants in front of them!"
These series of insults continued, and they eventually reached the girls' ears. They could not help but scoff at the ignorance of the humans.
'Hey, let's show them their place,' Matatabi suggested through their link, to which Kokuo's eyes also glowed with a sadistic glint inside them. She was really annoyed that these pesky humans thought they were better than their big brother!
Under the watchful eyes of the people present, the girls made their move for the first time since they had been standing in that place.
