Chapter 37 - Chapter 37: Marriage ceremony

"Tsukimi this seal you created can also increase the soul power of the user, I think you should use them on your wives" indeed they will be more than ready to do so. Well the seal is a bit of a formality as I know I and wives are ready to die for one another at any time.

" we are already connected by soul right, so will they also gain the power boost when I kill using you" I asked her as that will help in balancing the bond with the seal.

" indeed since their soul will interlink with you I can also help theirs' but why should I you are my only master not them." I was puzzled at first to why she was saying this but after sensing her obsessive feelings through our link a smile adorned on my face.

Over the course of these years, we engaged in numerous conversations that deepened our bond and allowed me to appreciate her personality even more.

"Ara!, here I was considering the possibility of granting my Mayurei a physical body in the future. It seems that might not be necessary now," I stated in a calm tone, my voice devoid of overt emotions. The words were carefully chosen, intended to evoke a particular reaction from the little soul in my presence. Her immediate panic was exactly what I anticipated.

"I was merely jesting, Master. I would be more than willing to share some space with those bi-, uh, your wives, I mean. After all, they are like sisters to me," she spoke in a somewhat hurried manner, the words coming out in a rush as she tried to rectify her earlier panic.

"Hmm, I suppose we'll have to wait and see what the future holds," I responded, sensing a hint of disappointment in her tone. Her situation was indeed more complex since she was bonded to the sword that had given rise to her existence.

I lay in the grass, surrounded by a field of vibrant red flowers that painted the landscape. The air carried the delicate scent of blossoms, infusing a sense of tranquility into the moment. Lost in thought about the intricate seal I had been working on, my senses gradually detected two new scents wafting through the air, mingling with the floral fragrance. I turned my gaze towards the source of the scents, finding Matatabi settling down beside me, and Kokuo taking her place on the other side.

"What occupies your thoughts, my dear?" Matatabi inquired gently, her presence a comforting presence next to me. Kokuo's presence on my other side completed the circle, enveloping me in a sense of unity and companionship.

"I was conversing with Mayurei about a seal I created for our marriage ceremony," I explained, sensing their curiosity and attentiveness. The topic seemed to pique their interest, given their exposure to human villages and the various cultures they had encountered during our time together.

Having been around humans for a significant amount of time, they had naturally become intrigued by concepts like marriage. Despite our unique circumstances, I saw no harm in discussing and adopting some of these traditions, particularly if it brought us a sense of unity and connection.

"Really? What kind of seal?" Kokuo inquired, clearly intrigued by the concept I had mentioned.

"It's a seal that binds the souls of the caster and the one it's cast on. The primary effect is an increase in soul power for both individuals, and it forms a strong connection between them. The caster's soul power can be shared with multiple others as long as the soul is sufficiently powerful," I explained, detailing the core functions of the seal.

I continued, "The seal also has several other abilities. It can transmit information, allowing the sharing of thoughts and emotions. There's a passive ability that enables the sensing of each other's health and surface thoughts, but that's only if both parties agree. It can also passively convey the emotions someone is feeling."

Their expressions shifted as they absorbed the information, exchanging glances that seemed to convey their thoughts and feelings about the concept.

Their eyes lit up with a mixture of interest and excitement as they absorbed the details of the seal's capabilities. With a gentle smile, I continued, "But it's important to note that the seal also establishes a link between our lives and deaths. So, when would you both be comfortable doing this?" My voice carried a sense of assurance, knowing that their bond was strong and they would likely be eager to accept such a meaningful connection.

Their expressions radiated the understanding that my trust in them ran deep, solidified through the challenges we had confronted as a team. There was no room for doubt when their faces reflected the indomitable determination they had exhibited during the rigorous training we underwent together. It was a memory etched in their features, a testament to their unwavering dedication to stand alongside me, even when it meant enduring the most demanding of trials.

In a heartwarming display of their affection and enthusiasm, they surged forward, wrapping me in a fervent embrace from both sides. Their tails swished animatedly, mirroring the excitement that filled the air.

They looked so lovely as the moonlight highlighted their facial features. Slowly, I leaned in to kiss both of them simultaneously. After gradually melting into each other's embrace, they finally spoke, "Let's do it now. I don't want to wait anymore."

"Sure, the night is ours to remember," I smiled at their eagerness. I took both of their hands and used the yin and yang elements for creation. Both of them, along with me, were enveloped in a sealing matrix, with words running under our feet. After the matrix was fully formed, we felt a tearing pain in our souls.

As the sealing process continued, the sensation of merging our souls in sections was an unusual one. The pain, though intense, wasn't harmful to us, but rather a reflection of the profound connection that was being forged. It was as if the very essence of our beings was intertwining, creating an unbreakable bond that went beyond the physical realm.

After what felt like an eternity, the pain gradually subsided, leaving behind a sense of unity and shared purpose. The sealing matrix's intricate patterns converged on our ring fingers, forming three distinct and intricate seals.

Amidst the awe-inspiring energy that enveloped us, a sensation akin to a tearing pain surged through our very souls, a testament to the profound transformation taking place.
