Chapter 1 - 1

"Hey! I think you've become more and more arrogant since you met Jevan and Renzo?"

A girl with shabby clothes and a disheveled appearance was at the back of the schoolyard with a gang of bullies at their school.

"If you ask, answer!" she said as she kicked the girl.

"What's wrong with you? I've seen you looking really limp lately. Don't your parents take care of you?" she taunted.

"You don't need to bring my parents," the girl whispered, trying to sit up. But again and again one of the gang kicked her again, knocking her back down.

"Hey Aleta, I'm telling you. You're nothing but a loser!" the girl called Aleta just laughed and made the others confused.

"Why, if I'm a loser, what are you?" said Aleta as she looked at the gang leader with a smirk.

Aleta managed to stand up after all the cruel treatment by the gang. Her hands and feet were covered in blisters, and her stomach had been kicked repeatedly. So who would be surprised if she could still stand up?

"Reyna, what a nasty name. Have you ever looked in the mirror?" Reyna, the leader of the gang, became angry and told her friend to kick Aleta again.

But just as she was about to kick her again, Aleta parried her and pulled her friend's leg and threw her to the other side. Suddenly Reyna sat down in shock, seeing her friend lying helplessly.

"I wonder, what lesson did you learn from bullying this girl? Is that Jevan guy going to like you? You should be thanking her," she said.

For some reason Reyna felt that it was not Aleta who was talking to her, but someone else. Seeing Aleta approach and pick up the small knife that had fallen out of her pocket, Reyna could only back away and panic when she saw Aleta playing with the knife.

As she was cornered, Aleta ran up and grabbed her by the throat with great force. "H-help! Somebody help." Reyna tried to scream as loudly as possible.

"You want to survive? After what you did to this girl?" Reyna looked back to see Aleta playing with her small knife around her neck and scraping a few cuts on her cheek.

Then she raised it high, as if to stab Reyna. But stopped when the knife had just scratched the skin of her neck.

"Well, looks like she didn't want me to show up early to teach you a little lesson. Well, maybe next time I can meet you again." she said as she stood up and slightly moved away from Reyna, soon Aleta fainted and was followed by the arrival of Jevan and Renzo.

"Reyna are you okay?" asked Jevan.

"Van... Aleta. She's weird van, I'm scared." Reyna cried as she held Jevan's hand with trembling hands.

Jevan instructed Renzo to take Aleta while he took care of Reyna and her accomplices. After finishing dealing with the chaos in the backyard of the school. Renzo and Jevan rushed to Jevan's house.

"Van, what are you doing?" asked Renzo.

"Ren, Aleta. She's possessed by the Devil," said Jevan.

"Van, how come Aleta is like this?" A beautiful woman came in and immediately prepared some of her favorite herbs in traditional medicine.

"Then who is he, Van?" asked a man who had joined the woman.

"Dad, mom. He's my friend, Renzo." Jevan looked down because he knew this was going to happen.

"Do you know who he is?" his father asked.

"An Indigo," Jevan whispered.

"Are you deliberately breaking family rules now?!" he snapped.

"Anders-"

"Don't try to lecture me Nesya, he knows that we told him not to get close to indigo children. But he did it anyway, what's wrong with—"

"So what Dad! Why is there such a rule? Didn't we used to get along?" Jevan retorted.

"You dare to yell at your parents?" asked Anders, he already wanted to approach his son with a spell paper he was holding.

"Enough! Is this important now? Can't you see Aleta is in pain? We're here to treat her!" annoyed Renzo.

Finally Anders returned with his wife Nesya to treat Aleta, "Maybe you don't think this is important. However, family rules are not something that can be broken easily for us," he said.

"I understand your feelings, but it would be better if you let Jevan choose his own way. However, no matter how hard you try to keep him away from the curse. He will still fall," Renzo said.

Anders gritted his teeth as he applied some of the potion Nesya had made to Aleta's wounds. "Dad, Aleta's life energy has been drastically reduced over the past week. Then Renzo felt her aura start to turn black," Jevan said.

"What do you mean blackened?" Nesya asked.

"That means she no longer has the will to live," Renzo said.

"Then it seems, the demon is back again." Nesya and Anders turned back to Jevan with incredulous looks.

"That fast?" Jevan nodded.

"She almost attacked her schoolmates earlier, and then lately she's been acting weird too." Jevan nodded at Renzo's words.

"What do you mean?" Anders asked.

"Aleta seems to be investigating something at the moment, and we don't know what it is. Especially since her home life got worse after her mother went into the hospital," Jevan said.

"Did she ever mention seeing a tall, black shadowy figure?" asked Nesya.

Jevan and Renzo shook their heads simultaneously, but suddenly Renzo remembered something. "It's not Aleta, but I once heard that a student saw a black shadow figure following Aleta. He said it was about two meters tall," Renzo said.

"Oh, that's right. I've also heard from a friend of the organization that he also saw it, I think he was just joking. What's wrong, Mom?" said Jevan, agreeing with Renzo's words.

"Jevan, if he is that tall and has revealed himself. That means she has fused with Aleta's body," Anders said.

"Fused?" Jevan was confused.

"This means that the demon has fused with Aleta's blood, if we force it out and separate it from Aleta. Aleta will most likely die," Nesya explained.

"Shouldn't you make sure it's deeper?" asked Jevan. In between the family arguments, Renzo could see Aleta's finger moving.

So he shifted Jevan's body and grasped the hand, soon Aleta opened her eyes and winced in pain as her wounds stung from the potion.

"Aleta, can you open your eyes?" asked Anders.

"No... he doesn't intend to hurt anyone," Aleta whimpered.

"Aleta, who are you talking about?" asked Jevan.

"J-Jevan, he's not bad." Jevan was already frustrated by Aleta's incoherent words.

"Sir, Morgan is not bad. I want to help him—" Before she could finish her sentence, Aleta vomited fresh blood and shocked the others.

"Who is Morgan, Aleta?" asked Nesya.

"You know him better than me," she said.
