After hesitating for a moment, Kassidy Dean picked up the phone.
Unexpectedly, John Bacon started the conversation by saying, "You're lying!"
Kassidy didn't understand what he meant at first, and John continued, "You didn't get married, you lied to me last time."
He had recently been following her whenever he had time, so he knew her daily routine well. It wasn't difficult to track her. He had never seen any man near Kassidy, so there was only one possibility – she was bluffing when she mentioned her marriage at the Hernandezs'.
"I did get married; whether you believe it or not is not important." Kassidy hung up the phone after saying that.
She had just bid farewell to her husband, and the warmth of their marriage certificate was still present. How could she be lying?
When John Bacon called again, she didn't pick up. Later, she thought it was inappropriate to keep in touch with her so-called ex-boyfriend, so she simply blacklisted his phone number.
