"No way—" Bella Scott's voice faded away as she recalled how Edward Anderson always slipped away in the middle of the night.
For many days now, Edward would leave in the middle of the night and return just before dawn. She wanted to trust him, not overthink things, and not make the same mistakes, but the truth was, women tend to be insecure, and she was no exception. She was still worried that he would be lured away by other women.
"What's wrong? Is there really a situation?" Cecelia Anderson noticed Bella's expression was off.
Bella shook her head and replied softly: "There's nothing going on! Of all the men in the world who might cheat, Edward definitely won't. With other women, he's just a reserved man. It's only with me that he shows his true colors as a man."
Her words, once again, earned her the disdain of Cecelia and Kassidy Dean.
The words of Kassidy and Cecelia more or less had an impact on Bella.
