"Mom, don't you see? Bella can never forgive me. I lost my chance a long time ago." Brynn exhaled softly, "I'll go back to the hotel tomorrow. My presence here will only upset Bella."
Why stay here and make things worse? Her presence would only remind Bella Scott of their unpleasant past.
Bella was doing just fine without her.
"If you go back to the hotel, I'll go back too. Perhaps I was just too greedy, wanting to make it up to both you and Edward Anderson. But as Bella said, gaining something also means losing something. I have you, Edward has Bella, and that's enough." Janae Smith forced a smile.
Let's treat this lovely evening as a stolen moment, one worth being happy about when looking back later.
"Maybe if I didn't exist, there wouldn't be any problems." Brynn laughed and leaned against Janae Smith's shoulder, "I'll stay here for now. We'll stay a few more days, and then we'll go back to Philadelphia. What do you think, Mom?"
