Wayne Adams heard Bella Scott's name and thought of the gossip on the Internet.
He originally wanted to find an opportunity to meet Bella but had to give up since he was having a "cold war" with Cecelia Anderson. He didn't expect to meet her at today's event.
He left Evelina and quickly walked to Cecelia's side, "Bella has been gone for so long and just happened to be back tonight. Let's have a welcome party for her."
Also, this could change the topic and avoid making his wife unhappy.
"You should focus on your work. I'll take care of Bella's welcome party. You can continue socializing; I won't disturb you." Cecelia said, and took Bella's arm and left.
Bella glanced back at Wayne Adams, of course knowing that Cecelia was upset.
Before, Cecelia had always been thinking about Wayne Adams. Who would have thought that upon entering the private room, she would see him and Evelina so close together. Cecelia's not making a scene right away was already giving Wayne Adams enough face.
