Hearing Cecelia's words, Bella Scott tried hard to hold back her laughter.
Not until the two children quietly stood in front of Cecelia did she straighten her face and say, "We haven't seen each other in so long. I should give you a reunion gift filled with surprises."
"I'm just afraid that your surprise would be more frightening than delightful," Cecelia joked.
Jessica winked at Bella, indicating that she and her brother were ready.
With the siblings in position, Bella said to Cecelia, "Cecelia, you can open your eyes now."
Cecelia opened her eyes, and upon seeing two magnified child faces in front of her, she was so startled that her head tilted backward, nearly flipping over herself and the chair.
Jessica had already burst into laughter, and the corners of Cindy's mouth were slightly raised.
Kassidy Dean and Bella Scott, who were watching on the side, couldn't help but smile at Cecelia's alarmed expression.
