Kassidy Dean thought of the years she spent abroad and the happy times with Jessica Scott. Her eyes softened, "It wasn't hard at all. Jessica is so smart and lovely, every day I felt very happy to see her."
This was the absolute truth.
Although Jessica could be extraordinarily infuriating, most of the time she brought joy to Kassidy. This spiritual nourishment was irreplaceable by anything else.
"You have my admiration," John Bacon said sincerely.
When Kassidy took Jessica abroad, she was not even twenty yet. However, she dared to take risks for her friend, staying in a foreign country for so many years and raising the child so well.
Talking about being a single mom was easy, but actually doing it was unimaginably difficult.
"Mr. Bacon, your words are too kind." Kassidy thought John was just flattering her, so she didn't take his words seriously.
After the meal, Kassidy relaxed a bit, and John even insisted on driving her back to her apartment.
