Snow Collins didn't expect Bella Scott to fall asleep during their date.
Upon reflection, he realized that she had been quieter than usual today. Although he wasn't talkative either, there was a distinct difference in her demeanor that clearly showed she wasn't interested in their date tonight.
Of course, he didn't expect her to love him, because he knew that all her love was devoted to Edward Anderson. How could a woman like that have any leftover love to give to him?
What he wanted was a wife. Whether Bella loved him or not wasn't important. What mattered was that she would marry him in the future—that was enough.
Without dwelling on it any further, Snow found a blanket and covered Bella with it.
Bella suddenly awoke and realized it was already daylight.
As she turned, she met Snow's deep gaze: "You're finally awake?"
Glancing at her wristwatch, Bella saw it was already seven in the morning. Frantically, she took out her phone and noticed several missed calls.
