Just as Brynn Williams arrived, she overheard people gossiping about Edward Anderson and Betty Camp's romance as soon as she entered the ancestral hall.
She sneered, thinking these rumors were baseless.
Edward Anderson had ridiculed Betty Camp last time they met; how could they have become a couple so quickly? As far as she knew, Edward Anderson could never fall in love with any woman other than Bella Scott, even Betty Camp would be no exception.
When she saw Kaila Nelson, she stopped and stared: "What are you doing here?"
"Mr. Anderson left his child with Miss Camp to watch over, and I couldn't help but follow along." Kaila Nelson answered truthfully.
She knew Brynn Williams was the long-lost daughter of the Andersons, now found again and naturally treasured by the family. Edward Anderson, on the other hand, didn't seem particularly close to her.
