Jessica hadn't run far. When Clara came out, she rushed up to her, excited and eager, "Can I sneak another peek at Mom, big sis?"
Clara held the little girl in her excitement, "Boss is in a bad mood. Don't bother her right now. When she feels better, I'll take you to sneak a peek at her."
Jessica perked up at the words, "I'm a happy nut, Mom will be so happy when she sees me..."
But she couldn't let Mom see her face, so it was pointless to say those words.
Afterward, Jessica found a hidden place to play by herself, trying her best not to upset her mom because of her.
At lunchtime, Bella Scott was about to ask Clarky to order a meal for her, but he brought in a sumptuous lunch instead.
After taking a few bites, Bella found that the dishes were all her favorites. Usually, Clarky was not so thoughtful. What happened today?
