Edward Anderson picked up Jessica and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek, asking softly, "What's wrong? Tell the doctor."
Jessica glanced at the doctor, then at Edward and Kaila, and obediently replied, "I'm just sleepy."
If Elora saw all the fuss being made, she would definitely think it was a waste of resources.
"Take your medicine and then have a good sleep. Daddy will make you something delicious to eat later," Edward said as he tucked Jessica back into bed.
Before long, Jessica fell asleep. Fearing her condition might worsen, Edward asked the family doctor to stay overnight in their villa.
By the next morning, Jessica's cold was better, but she still felt weak.
Edward didn't go to work and stayed home with Jessica instead.
Jessica thought Edward must be doting on her because he asked her constantly if there was anything wrong, and even mentioned plans to take her on a trip once she felt better.
