"I'll move back to the apartment tomorrow." Martez said before hanging up the phone.
He knew Tiffany would make this call, and only after it came in did he plan to move back into the apartment. He wanted to put Tiffany in a position where her anger had nowhere to go, and if she found their tit for tat games meaningless, perhaps she would choose to back off.
After being hung up on by Martez, Tiffany took a while to remember not to feel guilty because he was the one who wronged her first. No matter what she did, he should try his best to fulfill her demands.
She hadn't questioned Martez about Miss Wood yet.
Despite promising to help, Martez only managed to get Miss Wood out of the police station after a full week. Although Miss Wood was back at work, everyone kept saying she was a commercial spy. The looks they gave her made it impossible for her to walk around confidently.
