On Monday, when the stock market opened, the kidnapping of Martez Parker affected it severely, causing panic selling and a plummet in the Global and Universe stock price. Eventually, Mr. Parker stepped in to stabilize the situation, claiming Martez was safe and sound, which helped recover the stock price a bit at the end of the trading day.
Tiffany Moore thought Martez must have really returned, so she called Mr. Parker to inquire. Mr. Parker told her the truth; there was still no news about Martez, but if there was, Tiffany would be informed immediately.
