Bella Scott swatted Kassidy Dean's hand away: "What's so funny?"

Therefore, she must not laugh for no reason, or else Kassidy and Martez Parkerr might notice something off.
Just because Kassidy was slow in matters of love didn't mean she was slow in other areas as well. Bella couldn't underestimate her.
Since Bella had suddenly joined them, Martez spoke very little that night.
Bella thought that Martez was probably plotting how to get rid of her, the annoying third wheel.
Sure enough, the next day, Martez called her into his office, "Since you joined the company, your performance has been good. The company has a three-bedroom apartment for free. You can move in."
"Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Parker. I am currently living with Elora, where it's convenient and feels safe. I don't have any plans to move right now." Bella replied calmly.
