After hearing the story, Bella Scott simply acknowledged the situation and didn't say anything else.
What kind of incompetent thief would steal a child's daily necessities like toiletries? What use could a thief possibly have for these things? They're utterly useless, right?
Unless, of course, the other party had some ulterior motive.
When Cecelia Anderson came over, Bella was deep in thought.
"Did his proposal make you a little bit tempted?" Cecelia joked.
Bella shook her head, pulled Cecelia down to sit, and repeated what Sienna had told her earlier.
"That is strange. Who has ever heard of a thief solely targeting a child's belongings? Regardless of their circumstances, Sienna's family must have had something of value. Why would only Cindy's toiletries be taken? What use would a thief have for Cindy's toiletries—perhaps thinking they're cute and using them for their own child?" Cecelia joked.
Bella was at a loss for words, "What kind of absurd idea is that?"
