As she watched Edward Anderson walk toward Brynn Williams, Kallie slumped onto a resting chair, her mind in turmoil.
Even if Edward knew the truth about what happened that year, so what? She no longer cared about the man who had been hurting her all along. All she didn't want was for Edward to learn some truths. If Brynn still had her senses, she wouldn't tell Edward about that incident, as it wasn't in her best interest.
When Edward returned to Brynn, his face had returned to normal.
Brynn stared at him for a while before saying in a low voice, "You're busy working here. I'd better leave first, so people won't gossip about me."
Edward was silent for a moment, and then suddenly said, "Don't you have anything to say to me about that year's incident? I'll find out the truth sooner or later. If you tell me everything you know, it will make things much easier."
Brynn lowered her head anxiously, "Please give me some more time. One day, I will reveal everything I know."
