In the end, it was Bella Scott who reacted first. She casually walked up and opened the door like nothing happened. Wayne Adams, however, didn't want to let go of Cecelia Anderson. He had intended to carry his wife over the threshold of their house, and he wouldn't change his mind just because of Tariq Lane's presence.
What made him uncomfortable was Tariq Lane's gloomy gaze, always staring at his wife.
Bella purposely stayed behind and let Cecelia go into the house first.
"Am I that scary?" Tariq Lane suddenly called out to Bella.
Every time he showed up, Bella would become very tense, as if he would eat Cecelia up on the spot.
Bella turned back to look at Tariq Lane, appearing indifferent: "Cecelia is living a good life now, and I don't want any accidents happening in her life."
Tariq Lane smiled faintly, "You guys are smart, you have noticed that I developed some feelings for her. That's why you're worried, afraid that I'll pester her."
