On the way to the Registry Office, Bella Scott's thoughts were all over the place, and she couldn't help but recall many things.
Only her memories of her time with Edward Anderson after their marriage were clear, her childhood memories had become blurry. If given the chance, she would want to retrieve those memories.
What she wanted to remember now were not the events of five years ago—it was the time she had spent with Edward during their childhood. Those were the most precious treasures of her life, and she couldn't afford to lose them.
As she was lost in thought, Edward's voice rang in her ear: "We're here, let's get out."
Bella woke up from her reverie, momentarily bewildered, unsure of where she was.
Seeing her dazed expression, Edward said softly: "If you're not feeling well, we can come back another day to do the paperwork."
"Let's get it over with." Bella's eyes regained clarity, and she got out of the car first, walking ahead with a straight posture, not looking back.
