Unless Bella Scott was blind, she could see the schadenfreude expression on Edward Anderson's face. She replied indifferently, "No problem, I can wait a bit longer. For him, I'm willing to wait all night."
Just as Edward was about to say she didn't have to lie so extravagantly, Bella's eyes lit up: "Charles White?!"
Charles gave a knowing smile, took a seat next to Bella, and said, "I'm sorry I'm late. Had to work overtime today."
Bella feigned surprise, "You're not my blind date today, are you?"
"Didn't the matchmaker tell you clearly? Bella, I'm the one who came to meet you today." Charles played along with Bella's act.
Bella's acting skills shone, "I thought the matchmaker was introducing me to some oddballs, but instead, it's you, handsome. I've hit the jackpot today."
