"If I remember correctly, you owe me two days of your weekends every week. You're already six days behind, so it doesn't seem unreasonable for you to stay in the villa for the rest of this week. Do you want me to find Howard Davis and bring the divorce agreement for you to look over again?"
Edward Anderson's lips curved into a playful smile, as if to say to Bella Scott, can you really outsmart me?
Bella was frustrated. She thought Edward had forgotten about this, but he obviously remembered it very clearly and was just waiting to settle the score with her.
Did that mean the content of the agreement would become a constraint on her, making it impossible for her to break free from Edward?
"Do you need me to carry you in?" Edward offered, looking like he was about to do just that.
"Fine, I'll drive in myself." Bella felt that she should study the divorce agreement more carefully, in case Edward had set some traps for her.
