"I have a lot of money, I can buy your bedroom. If you keep talking, I can buy your silence!" Edward Anderson looked at Howard Davis, his eyes suddenly sharp.
Howard touched his nose indifferently. Mr. Anderson might not have much, but he was rich enough to crush him with money.
If this guy knew that he was stirring things up behind the scenes, would he try to silence him?
He didn't dare to keep loitering around Edward, afraid to provoke him into anger.
With Howard, the annoying guy gone, Edward's mood didn't improve. His head ached, and the mere thought of Bella Scott made it hurt even more.
At three o'clock in the morning, Bella was sleeping soundly when her phone suddenly rang.
She looked at the caller ID, and it was Edward?
Worried about waking the children, she got out of bed and went to the balcony to answer the phone.
"Edward?" Bella asked uncertainly, her words a little slurred since she had just woken up from her sleep.
"Yeah, it's me," Edward answered briefly.
