Edward Anderson pinned Bella Scott beneath him, his face ferocious and intimidating as if he wanted to devour her. "You just called out a man's name! Tell me, who is he?!"
Because her mumblings were unclear in her sleep, he couldn't catch the name, and she woke up. Edward was certain that he hadn't imagined it.
"Don't falsely accuse me. I don't remember anything about that," Bella tried to push Edward away, but he held her down, bearing down on her with a fierce and cruel expression.
She didn't know why, but seeing Edward's face made her feel especially guilty.
Even though she really did have a brief relationship with the man she had dreamt about five years ago, and even had a child—Cindy—with him, that had all taken place before she married Edward.
