Randy Hill had never seen Edward Anderson with such an expression before. He looked very lost, and even though his facial expression was well-managed, his eyes seemed empty.
For a man like Edward Anderson, who was used to controlling everything, what person or thing could possibly be a challenge for him?
Even when Edward was recently overwhelmed by Kallie and the illegitimate child incident, his face never showed such a helpless expression.
"Mr. Anderson, should the meeting be postponed?" Randy cautiously asked.
Edward snapped out of his daze, forcing himself to liven up. "No need."
As he got up and walked towards the door, he muttered to himself, "If you had something precious taken away and occupied by someone else, leaving you with an indelible mark, Randy, what would you do?"
"I might as well throw it away. There will always be new things to replace that old one. Even if I got that old thing back, it would still be impure," Randy tentatively replied.
