Bella Scott carefully examined the red mark on Cindy's face: "Does it hurt?"
"Not at all." Cindy replied cheerfully.
"Silly child, what's there to be happy about? If Edward Anderson bullies you again in the future, just tell me, I'll deal with him." Bella Scott cradled Cindy's face tenderly, murmuring to herself: "I hope it doesn't leave a scar. It's all Edward Anderson's fault for being too heavy-handed. Doesn't he know a child's face is the most delicate?"
When Cindy heard this, she became even happier. Bella was growing fonder of him by the day because she was worried about him.
"It was an unintentional mistake by Mr. Anderson, mom, don't blame him. I was just overreacting." Cindy wore a wide smile on his face, but deep inside, he was apprehensive. Edward Anderson, that cunning fox, was indeed quick in his response.
His battle with Edward Anderson had just begun, and the real show was yet to come.
After breakfast, everyone left the house together.
