"I can protect Mom, don't underestimate me." Cindy huffed.
Edward Anderson felt annoyed when he heard Cindy call Bella Scott "Mom." This fish had no good intentions, obviously wanting to compete for favor. He didn't believe he'd be outdone by a tiny kid.
Bella looked at Cindy and then at Edward; she wasn't sure if it was her illusion, but it always seemed that their expressions were quite similar when they faced off against each other.
Cecelia Anderson also came downstairs just then. Seeing her looking a little unwell, Bella quickly went to help her, "Are you not feeling well? Shall we go for a check-up?"
Cecelia leaned against the sofa, "I have a bit of a headache, probably just a cold. It's no big deal."
"You should stay home and rest today. You don't have to worry about your gallery. Cindy can stay with you at home." Bella felt Cecelia's forehead, relieved that she didn't have a fever.
