Edward Anderson shouldn't have shouted; the moment he did, little Cindy ran off even more joyfully.
Edward Anderson watched the child's retreating figure, feeling a little speechless. Are all children this mischievous nowadays? They didn't just do naughty things, but also ran away at lightning speed.
"Edward Anderson, a lot of people are watching. Can you please stop acting so childish?" Bella Scott followed behind him, yelling loudly.
Edward Anderson ignored her, striding forward in pursuit. Though Cindy was good at running away, she was no match for Edward's longer legs and speed. Seeing that she was about to be caught, Bella quickly came up with a plan. She let out a scream and fell to the ground.
Just as Edward was chasing Cindy, he heard Bella's cry of pain. He turned back to see Bella's distressed state, hurriedly went back to her and didn't dare touch her: "Where does it hurt?"
"My foot hurts a little." Bella quietly glanced in the direction where Cindy had run away.
