"I'm so tired and want to take a shower and rest as soon as possible. Since you're my wife, shouldn't you be gentle and virtuous?" Edward Anderson said, pushing past Bella Scott who was blocking his way to the bathroom.
Usually, Bella would have let Edward's words distract her, because she hated when people said she wasn't gentle or virtuous.
If anything, it only demonstrated how cunning and crafty Edward was; he knew her weaknesses and tried to change the subject.
Just as Edward was about to close the bathroom door, Bella slipped inside.
"You won't get off the hook until you explain yourself today! What's the name of the client you met with? If you don't say, it just proves that you are hiding something. Let me tell you, I despise men who are unfaithful the most. If you have a woman outside, I'll give up my position as Madam Anderson without hesitation!" Bella said, sitting down in the bathtub, determined not to let Edward off until he told her the truth.
